At around 2230hrs, Lt. Bromhead and other volunteers rush out into no-man's-land to retrieve the water cart that was left near the burning hospital, They, in fact, rescued the water cart without any injuries to the brave men. Now, the defenders could quench their thirst.

Excellent effect Mike, you can almost feel the heat coming from that burning hospital.

I hope you didn't set yours a-light to get the effect though  :D

Very, Very nicely done Mike love the way you photograph the figures which features them moving away from the hospital and effect you created of the lighting being provided by the burning hospital. Nice touch 1879....The Lt.

Scott,
Little secret between you and I, a kid's orange traffic cone over one light does the trick for any McGuyver Jr!

Lt.,
And thank you for our constant inspiration to set up for 15 minutes for one good shot. Thanks, Joe

Great shot of Col. Durnford, A faithful Basuto trooper, Natal Carbineer and bandsman. I am particularly intrigued, as an aspiring artisan, as to how you mirrored Isandlwana. One minute we're looking from the dongas in the front. and the next we're on the Fugitive's Trail:cool: 2 backgrounds?

Mike

A great cinematic lighting effect. How did you light your scene to achieve this? Aren't photo dioramas an endless source of fun and inspiration? :)

That's a very very nice pic. I also noticed three new glossy releases for early 2009. I hope they will come up with some more. i kinda decided to go for glossy (with some exceptions).
