As always, thanks for the great comments on the pictures guys: Joe, Vick, Scott, Michael, Titus, Brian, Martyn. Here are some pictures of my whole Zulu collection to date.
By 1700 hours it was apparent to Lt. Chard that it was no longer possible to defend the north wall in front of the hospital - the weakest part of the mealie bag barricade. As more an more Zulus climbed over the obstacle, Chard ordered a withdrawal of the defenders to the secondary mealie bag wall that "dog-legged" over to the Hospital's east wall. By 1745 the Zulus were in control of the ground in front of the Hospital and its veranda.
