Great figures.
Looking forward to them.
Just a question.
Having been born and bred here in Natal I have never seen a Zulu on horseback
I know it is in all the books, but Zulus and horse riding just don't really go together.
Zulus and Nguni Cattle there is a close relationship.
The people from the Drakensberg like the Hlubi are known for their horsemanship.
I have seen a photo of Chetsway on horseback so I suppose it must have been a luxury which senior indunas and chiefs indulged in.

Thanks Titus for the update and looking forward to addtional members of the Natal Native Contingent joining Sciess and Adendorff along with the water cart to quench their thirst.

:)A great snap LT and thanks to Titus for the additional pics. They must have been added after I was on the website.

Lt,
Agreed on the water cart and additional colonials. Great contemp photo showing 12man and 18 man tents. Where was it taken?

My Aide de Camp the only info accompany the picture revels the photo was taken while the Brit's are in camp in 1879 during the Zulu War and refers to the water cart as the type present at Rorke's Drift during the battle. The photo appears on page 66 of Rorke's Drift 1879 "Pinned like rats in a hole" by Ian Knight from Osprey's Campaign 41 Series.

Thank you, My Lord, just happen to have that in Red hardcover, like you, I presume! Never can have enough Ian Knight books!

Looking into others my Aide de Camp to add to my small collection of his books. Still playing with my favorite of the 24th as he's joined by another as they both look on as the Zulus approach the wagon park.

Has WB abandoned Islandwana.
The focus seems to be very much on Rorkes Drift at present.
Hopefully we will soon see the RHA from Islandwana

Damian Isandlwana is not being abondone in any way shape or form as WB will be providing figure manning Rorke's Drift which will blend in very nicely as they venture into Isandlwana. I'm sure they've plans for the RA to make their appearance with the many shouts for it but like all little kids like us my good friend you we want when you want it like all other grown kids. Let Richard and his talented crew continue to take it one step at a time and there's no doubt we'll be pleased with their results as time goes by. Most of the sets and figures provided to date can be play with very nicely on the field of Isandlwana. Let's not forget VC and DCM award winners along with others who took a major part it the events that took place at the Mission Station we've yet to see any of the Colour-Sergeants, Sargeants, Corporals other than Allen and Lance Corporals. My two of many cents for the day my friend.

Well said Joe
I will wait patiently.

Continuing to play with the old Damian until the arrival of the new along with the Fall Catalog.

One would think that ranker in the middle is your favorite one LT ;):D.
Just finished painting my ACW Shenandoah Valley backdrop back - for the second time . Will soon be posting a picture of it in use. :)
