Britain's Zulu War (5 Viewers)

It's one of your best pictures done to date Martyn not taking away from any others Beautifully set up and photograph and thanks for sharing it.

I'm sure you enjoy your coffee this AM Mike. As for the defender Assitant Commissary Dalton it reloading his Martini-Henry as private Patrick Kears is also about to load his. Private John Smith with a case of badly needed ammo is approaching behind Natal Mounted Policeman Henry Lugg and private Henry Hook who just got off a round as the Zulus continue to approach the north wall.

Martyn:)

Lt and Martyn, I wanted to let both of you know that your pictures were enjoyable first thing this morning. Joe, I really like how you personalize each figure by giving them a historical name from the "Drift roster". Martyn I think you win the prize for the first picture of the MZ exclusive. That's a very nice looking figure and you have used it well with the backdrop you selected.

Poor fella....one pistol...6 Zulus and no sword...looks like dire straights.

Private John Thomas 1280 alias Peter Sawyer takes careful aim selecting a Zulu target as private William Wilcox 1187 reloads his Martini-Henry.

Good morning Joe - Nice pic of Thomas and Wilcox defending their section of the wall. I wonder what happened in Pvt Thomas' past that requires him to have an alias.
Mike

His real name Mike was Peter Sawyer. On the 26th of May 1782 whilst stationed at Secunderbad, India, he signed (with his mark since he was illiterate) a delaration before the Cantonment Magistrate. The document states that he had enlisted under the assumed name of John Thomas and his true name was Peter Sawyer, as confirmed by his baptismal certificate and now you know the rest of the story as would have been quoted by Paul Harvey.

A promise kept and hope to see more of it Martynand nicely set up and photograph:cool::cool::cool:

Thanks again Joe;)
