Thanks Martyn and Mike and hope Mike that you've been able to shovel out from under the snow and managed to stay warm with the temps heading between -15 & -20 over nite. By the way it would be nice to see close up photos of the 4 new Zulu warriors from the Land of WBritain the lads who attended the evening Club event on Saturday and those who attended the show on Sunday got to see them up close:(:(:( guess will have to wait for the 2010 before getting a good look at them.:cool::cool:

The Photo Series comes to an end as Lieutenant Hodson is seen making his last stand.

I believe he can see the whites of the Zuus eyes at that range LT. Nice series of photos. Looking forward to your next offering.
Mike

Seems like the 24th foot would have agree with you Mike. Continuing with no series but with a random photo mixing a Britain's Zulu Warrior with a Collector's Show Case's Natal Carbineer looks like the Zulu Warrior came out on top.

Scott, Mike and Martyn thanks for joining me in sharing your playtime and photos during the year and also looking forward to you joining me during the coming year. Mike knowing that you've changed your focus to the ACW I'm looking forward as I'm sure others are to seeing what you've got headed our way. Merry Christmas......Joe

is this base ok for use for Zulu war?

http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/detail.aspx?ID=5224

or which base is the best for Zulu War?
I kind of like this base because i can also put a little stones for rocks and stuff i just do not know if it is the correct base because i do not know what was really the terrain in South Africa. Should i go for more desert looking base or more yellow grass(but i didnt find yellow brown grass).
And another question is how much centimeters (cm) is 24 inches by 12 inches?

Hi Ales,

The terrain in South Africa where the Anglo Zulu War was fought is generally rolling hills and valleys. There is good water so the grasses are generally in good shape. So the display you are looking at could be used. Look around the web for photos of South Africa and I think you will see what I am saying.

The conversion for an inch to metric is 2.54 cm = 1 inch. So that should give you the abilty to make the conversions.

Either one of those bases would be fine Ales provided their sizes meet your needs. The color and lenth of the grasses would have been at those shown at Rorke's Drift or Isandlwana on the 22nd and 23rd of January 1879 and various stages throught the Zulu War.
