Britain's Zulu War (2 Viewers)

There isn't much news in the flyer/Standard, which I received today, but one thing of note is (and Ken hinted at this I believe) a oppertunity to visit Isandlwana with 20 clubmembers. Holt's battlefield tours organises the tour (5 nights @ GPB 2850 :)eek: that's a lot of toy soldiers)) Ian Knight is your guide, and all meals are included. Visits to isandlwana (you stay at the Lodge there) and Ulundi. It takes place around 22nd January 2009 so you'll be there at the 130th anniversary.

I tell this here because there will be exclusive ZW figure sets for those who attend. Limited to just 20 pieces.
I'm not too fond of sets only a few (happy few) can get hold of but that's just me .

Maybe
I should drive up for the anniversary. I haven't been to teh battlefields for a number of years. Who knows I may have the pleasure of meeting some of you guys there. I would certainly like that.
Regards
Damian

The battle honors of the NMP include Islandwana and the Zulu War all the way to the speed camera on the N3 just outside Camperdown. Ja sir do you realize how fast you were travelling there? Couyld you step out of the vehicle please.
Great figure Joe

Yo Damian, got to ask about this quote of yours, my guess it was from the Boer War. How wrong am I lol.

We will have no truce or parley with you, or the grisly gang who work your wicked will. You do your worst - and we will do our best."

Bernard.

It is from the man himself
Winston Spencer Churchill

Churchill said it in WWII, in reference to Hitler, if I am not mistaken.

Prost!

Damian,

I do'nt know if it's chance or coinkidink, but I just finished (but don't remember) 1000 Quotes of Winston Churchill/. Truly one of the last great leaders of men, and a brilliant writer/orator.

Yo Damian, great speech, but took me back about the bombing, they nearly got me, a bomb landed two streets away flattened both steets and blew all the windows out of my grans house where I was staying with Mum, and I had only just been born. Can you imagine this forum, how dull it would be without all the rubbish I put up lol. As a scouse (Liverpool) comedian used to say, I hate the Germans they bombed our Chippie (fish & Chip Shop) lol.
Bernard.

I think they nearly killed John Lennon as well. He was just a wee barin at the time.

And here are the Zulu opponents.
Hopefully upon release of the fine wagon and some more figures I will be able to show all of them in some scenic settings.
Wonder what I got into here? :D
