Started building for a collector a room (with a terrace) from Hitler's 1939 new Reichs Chancellery to house the K&C Germania set.
All measurements taken ( 40x30cm) all drawings made to 1/30 scale .
Started building the terrace first, using tiles ( different sizes) from Hansa Systems ;(not painted yet)
The room itself (floor and walls)will be made from an imitation of Austrian brown marble ( just like Hitler's office in 1939) inclusive of furniture, wall decorations, lighting etc ….
Will keep you updated anout progress.

It has been some time, but it's a lot of work but now the back wall of the room is ready .I used balsa wood for the basic structure.
I covered ( painted) it in Austrian marble and added lighting, added the picture of Bismarck on the mantelpiece and the German eagle on each side of the wall and finished with some wood work on the lower part of the wall.;
I hope you like it
Will keep you updated on progress

forgot to mention:
for the marble effect I first covered the balsa wood with tissue paper and then used following oil colours from the brand "Talens" the "Rembrandt" series and from "502 abteilung":
-Burnt sienna
-Raw sienna
-VanDyke brown
-Naples deep yellow
-Yellow ochre
-Faded dark yellow ( 502 abteilung)

Update on progress is coming this weekend.
( sorry, not much time lately to work on this scene, we have a new member of the family that requires a lot of attention: a 5 months old Australian shepherd dog.)

Terrific work Guy, looks just like my lounge-room {sm4}

Well not really, I'd like to have a fireplace and oak paneled walls but not very common in Australia and wouldn't go with my Amart furniture anyway ^&grin

you're exactly right its an outdoor BBQ and pizza oven but as you can see in the photograph the terrace has to be fixed and repaired before we can use it again

I'm interested in your dioramas but it seems the fun so far is mostly canine...
