As I will stick to the forum rules and not name names publically, there is a UK Vendor that sells higher end painted figures that are kits, etc. and they exhibit at the London Show. My situation - I made a considerable purchase, we agreed on price, I paid. Box comes very quickly, however when shipping this models, they need to be packed in foam, tissue, etc as small parts are fragile, paint is delicate. I received a box that did pack the figures individually, however, utilizing hard styro chips and having movement to figures is a disaster, these are not cheap. Additionally, there was a dispute in clarity in that I received 2 kits unpainted?? That was a *** moment. Beyond that, I contacted the seller/shop and basically received an email blaming customs. SORRY US Customs has never opened a box for me and they didn't this one. Strike 1. Then I was told re read the description on the kit items. SORRY we only talked painted figures - STRIKE 2. Then I was given a blow off with not my problem and good luck. Obviously, STRIKE 3. Solution - Paypal has been notified, they actually have a resolution center and I want a fair partial refund. I have also informed this shop, my business won't be coming their way anytime soon.

I am happy to share who this is as I would not recommend anybody deal with them regardless of how nice there work is, their customer service is not. AND when you are selling high end painted models, customer care and service is a key component or else you should not be selling these items. I should not have to fix and touch up and repair when you are at this end of the spectrum of goods you are selling. I receive items from Russia that are more fragile and arrive flawless.h
Update - in the interim of typing this post, I have "received" a offer to compensate me for 10 pounds..............Yeah right, that seems fair................. You just can't make this up, I question why some people ever go in business. What a joke.

Now this gets better, latest message insulted my integrity and honesty, so my simple reply is " Let's switch places here, you are a collector, you place a large order for high end quality items, they arrive with damage................how would you feel?" Why is it as a customer my responsibility for the packing job done by a seller? Really? This one is starting to boil my blood. I am getting to the point where if this vendor would pay the shipping, I would send the whole lot back for a full refund. I am starting to hate the items that arrived ok.

Really sorry to hear that you are having these issues.

Things do go wrong with packaging - as you know from one of the first orders I sent you that there was an issue with. But, as a vendor you accept your mistakes and correct it and send a replacement.

There is no excuse for blaming others for your poor packaging or errors in communication...

I bought LAH032 set here on the forum (two box set) shipped with no rubber bands on the lids and packed lightly in peanuts. Of course the lids came off and the figures were out and about. When asking for a refund, this person called me a crook, said he has been shipping for many years and never had an issue sending them in such a way. What made it worse was I was banned from buying from the company (toy soldier shop) he works for. I discovered this when I went to make a purchase from their eBay store and I got a pop up saying something like, "you are not eligible to make purchases from this seller" Obviously some sellers become enraged that an issue has transpired requiring them to accept the loss, in return they blame others.

You sir are always a pleasure to buy from! To be honest, there is always a happy medium, part of the kit issue was my fault for assuming something and that is ok, that was pointed out to me and I can swallow that. The assault on my integrity is what drove the nail in. Needless to say, this purchase from the "Emperor" was an OTO (One time only) and that is the vendor's loss.

Mark, having sold a lot myself, I am sure along the way I had an item even with my packing go wrong, while I may gripe and complain about the post, I surely covered the loss. Case in point - one certain large collector bought an extra JG Façade from me, it was packed in bubble, foam, double boxed and yet the USPS still broke it, I was speechless, it was a retired one, could not even replace it. Of course I refunded the purchase. Even though I packed it well, insured it and it should have gotten there, it was not his fault.

Tom, I'm sorry you're having to deal with a dishonest, incompetent seller. Please let me know by pm who it is so I make sure to never buy from them. This guy sounds like a real nightmare especially the part where he insults you for his wrongdoing!!
Hoping it works out for you,

Joe

Tom I hate to say this but I'm afraid if you keep this everytime you look at it you will get angry and learn to hate the items. That is exactly what happened to me when I bought that Figarti e-boat and the paint started to come off. Every time I looked it I became madder and madder. I hated that **** boat. I sold it as is for half of what I paid but at least I did not have to look at it any more.

Hi Joe, will send you the name, but I don't want to say they are dishonest, incompetent absolutely, not customer friendly, yes. I think they do not fully understand the general standard as a seller of fragile items, it is their responsibility to deliver as described goods!!
