Using a small blue chip LED and an old 54 MM paratrooper I found on eBay here is an initial test with a figure in the plane. I have the Andrea paratrooper and will attempt to paint it like the King & Country figures.

Nicely painted! That is what I would like to achieve, glued to a small piece of clear plastic so it stands. I needed to file the helmet down on the figure I used so it fit, not sure yet if the Andrea figure will need the same modification.
