Cafe Storme Mokarex figures (1 Viewer)

Completed Henri 1 and decided to do Henri 2 of Brabant as well. Same cost of arms. Finished.

They are great figures. I have one or two and have seen them around. But i have a dumb question. Were they released or given out with coffee products? Why the title

thx for yr kind inputs. These figs were produced by the same team who produced the excellent Historex range. The Cafe Storme and Mokarex figs were packed into coffee jars and sold to the public. Their huge range and exquisite sculpting made them very collectable and a huge mkt developed to exchange and resell these figs. Y can still find them on eBay.

I repainted parts of the figs and painted their names on the bases. Finished.

So I was quietly ptg these three simple pieces- Gaulish Druid, Celtic priest and Nervi slinger. Almost done.

Finalising several ancient figures. Repaired the broken spear for one of the figs. Painted these as Atuatuci and Nervi tribes.

Scoured my collection for unfinished figs. Mtd all of them on stained wood dn bases with some groundwork.
Some of them need modifications and repairs. I added back packs to the marching WWI figs

I hollowed out the trumpet and cup on these figs.

added pipes to the bagpipe on this WWI Scottish metal fig bought at Nottinghill Gate many years ago

The fig of George Sands is being repaired. Attached a lamp to the broken part.

Ptg is now in progress. Generally there are two groups of WWI and Ancient figs. I found the original backpacks for some of the figs.

Here are some simple conversions to rescue these figs

Bagpiper with new drones, new backpack and cane for chasseur and George sand with walking cane and book

I fixed the broken mallets on these two figs. Simple wire inserts with putty.
