Cafe Storme Mokarex figures (1 Viewer)

Finished painting the Italian militia 13th cent. It's good to get these simpler pieces finished and displayed.

Painted this Vendean figure as well. Not the most exciting of figures or poses but it will help to expand my collection of personalities. I like to record the dates so that I can place the figures chronologically.

Finished the Moroccan Tiraillier. A surprisingly satisfactory figure to paint. Decent sculpting and pose.

Finally completed the Zouave Officer. Looking at the moulded decorations, I decided that these should be the Legion d Honneur and the Croix de Guerre.

I carefully painted these.

Also completed these two poilus. That's it for this batch of WWI pieces for now.

I really like the 58mm trench mortar piece.

I finished painting the gladiators. Added a touch of spilled blood on the sand. Finished.

Very nice works, and interesting, unusual figures{sm3}{bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

As the toysoldiers companies don't produce what I want and I miss, I have also started to paint kits: gladiators, vikings, mexican bandits, pirates and a few others. When I receive my last 5 figures by mail, I will have all what I want and I can say my collection completed.I have to say that painting a figure with the colours you desire is big fun and a great final satisfaction....Much better than just buy a painted toysoldier.I wasn't sure I could be able to paint, but I was surprised of the positive result.

hi Poppo,

Painting your own figures is such great fun, isn't it? These Mokarex Cafe Storme figures represent very good value for figure painting as they are usually very well sculpted and detailed for such reasonably cheap figures. Unfortunately, they are now out of production and getting harder to find.

I usually mount my figures onto small bases for easy handling and then decorate the base to suit the figure. I have just added foliage to these two pieces to finish them off.

Very well painted the german ss...The camouflage is not easy to make. Just one little mistake to correct, you put some black paint on the neck.

Hi Poppo,

well spotted. Thanks. I put these large images here to highlight the good (and the flaws). The mould suggests a shirt underneath and I had wanted to paint a brown shirt for this Hitler youth soldier.

In between other projects, I added gilt paint to these two figures. St Servatius and Charlemagne.

I took out these two 2nd Empire figures and hollowed out the saxophone. the grenadier bearskin looks really flattened and I am thinking of thickening it a little.
