at the current standard Figarti is operating, i think anything Figarti produces will generate instant hits, even if its an obscure SS donkeywagen. :D

Well much as i loathe the idea i'm a 'Hitlerite' because i collect D Day,Bulge,NA etc,i think Figarti would have no problem selling this amount.Perhaps it would sell as quick as say the 88,but in my view it would soon be gone.Quality everytime now.

I do not believe they would sell out instantly like some of their other recent pieces. From things said on this Forum and by the manufacturers, the market for Eastern Front is smaller. With so many new models coming out so quickly, collectors are having to make more buy/wait/don't buy decisions than ever before. I think the JS2 would be on more collector's wait/don't buy lists than the Firefly, 88, Priest, Snorkel Sherman etc. which were clearly on the "buy" lists.

Also, it is rumoured that K&C are making a JS tank as well. People may wait and compare?

I don't think on MORE lists than the 88 but we are still talking just 100 worldwide here, they could probably shift about twenty just on this forum. The quality that Figarti are hitting right now makes me think they really are firing on all cylinders.Yes there probably are a lot more popular AFV's they could make, but quality plus an armour starvation of fans of this theatre and wammo!.Empty shelves.

I think any quality piece issued by a proven manufacturer limited that drastically ( 100 pieces ) would sell out very quickly worldwide. The only major factor would be price. The higher the price the slower the piece potentially sells out.

I honestly don't like the high price/limited issue model, I think it only encourages speculators in our hobby. It also prevents a lot of potential buyers from obtaining nice pieces due to price or out of stock, a disappointment either way.

I tend not to mind "high price" anything, whether it's in a restaurant, a piece of jewelry for the missus, a decent pair of sunglasses, or a scale model FAV.
Bottom line for me is value for money, which is always subjective of course. I won't buy some overpriced lump of polystone, no matter how many people ooh and aah about it, unless it satisfies my criteria of being something I want to add to the collection, represents good value for my money, and accurately resembles the real vehicle. Every Figarti FAV that I've ever seen in person, or in dealers catalogues, meet all these requirements.

Harry, would a Russian Tank tempt you?.I think with the quality that they are coming out with they could lure collectors as myself, who don't have much eastern front stuff, into buying it.Throw in the guys calling for Russian Tanks and i don't think it would be around long, depending of course on how many they made?.

Most definitely Rob. I'll need something to see off that excellent Stug, if I decide to buy it.
;)....:)

I think a limited Russian tank would sell. Personally I would like a SU85, SU100, or a SU152.

Have the 88, Firefly and Priest all sold out then?
I ask as there seem to be a number still listed on various dealers sites.
I know they are very good and popular choices, however the forum sometimes gets a bit excited with members swearing to mortage the family home to buy a new piece yet I am sure that once we have all calmed down we see things more in perspective.

I.

As I understand, the 88 & Firefly are past history now. The 88 is reputed to have vaporized upon announcement.

If you see an 88 listed, please tell me where

Michigan and Crossroads have them as pre-orders on their websites.
