Those are really fantastic. For some reason it reminds me of the sets in the old Daniel Boone TV show - one of my favorites.

I like the blockhouse! Do you have any pics to show how he made the first storey stone walls?

Prost!
Brad

Brad...this is from an email Carlo sent me...

he sounds like a perfectionist...I know he wants to do more but is thinking he could mess it up with any more work...

"at last I completed my Blockhouse, the overall effect is not too bad but I am not completely satisfied mainly for the stone floor. I have built the 4 walls from a mould carved by myself and then I have joined them. The door is a picture replica.
Really the logs are still uniform and embrasures are too much tight, I could saw the second log to enlarge them but I fear to dig everything!
I think the roof the best part. A couple of pictures show the roof before painting".

The roof IS good. I can see it's removable. The gate latch is fun.

I just love his attention to detail...the whole build is really clean...so nice to see this kind of quality work!

Thank you Mike and Carlos. Beautiful work. I too really like those stockade photos. I wonder how the hinges were done for the stockade gate.

And Scott, I checked out your blog and liked the bubble script that read,
"Anyone that doesn't like that gets sold on ebay."
:)

Carlo sent me a few more pictures the other day...

you might also check out his website...it's very interesting...

you can use the translation tab (to English) on the link if you don't speak Italian...I don't...

look at the galleries and dioramas...the pictures speak for themselves...

he does such really nice work and has such a sweet collection...

What a spectacular set-up. The fort and the village, the river front, it is all just grand. So much going on from all angles. One of the best FIW dios I have seen. -- Al

Thanks for taking the time to post these photos. It's wonderful to see the whole set up. The Barzo fort and the Jenkins longhouses look great.

These scenes make one want to reduce one self to 1/30 scale to be able to walk through them. John should do his next calendar using Carlo's dioramas.
It would be a winner!

How cool would that be ?!?!?!?

Nice mix of quite a few manufacturers, even some old Britains farm animals:)
