Centurion (1 Viewer)

I can just see it now Robin rolling over that bridge ! {sm4}

Steve

And it would Steve, except it's so big, as Andy has stated, their largest tank produced, it is too wide for the bridge. Even the M113 has to sit at the end of the bridge, but gee it looks good. Still a few months before the tank is released, so time to think if I can display it and commit to get it. Robin.

Was on Howard's website a nice surprise mate,not sure about moss/green stuff in tracks like the APC but like I said before probably looks better in the hand so to speak.

I agree with you Wayne about the moss because all of the pictures I see of armour in Vietnam, I only see MUD.... :(

Your new M113 fit's right in there Robin.
Now about the Centurion. You know you'll only regret it if you don't get it. So start saving {sm4}

Great set up and shot Robin. It looks complete with the M113 w/ troops rolling. I really like that vehicle and figures. Thanks for sharing.

So when i saw the photo Howard presented of the M113 from a visit with Andy to the Australian War Memorial, Canberra last July, i was really taken with how it was portrayed, especially the riders on this dynamic machine. Although i said to myself at the time that i would really like to include something like this in my collection, never dreamt less than 12 months on, i would be able to replicate it, thanks to Andy with no doubt a little push from Howard. Consider this hobby is extremely fortunate to have some very passionate people on board. Next, what about that Centurion, hmmm. Robin.

Robin,

this picture of the troops riding on the M113 was from the Tank Museum at Puckapunyal where we went to view the vehicles and equipment on display.
The vehicles were 1/35 scale plastic kits and looked like there were about 4 APCs and 4 Centurions near a track junction.

This is similar to what Howard has planned for his diorama using the new K&C vehicles and soldiers, so all will be revealed next month in Melbourne :)

Nice dio Robin and Howard will be tickled pink with the Centurion, it does look nice.

Hi guys,
Does anyone know if the Centurion will also be made in an IDF version for the 6 Day War range?
Regards,
Vincent

Vincent,

this was discussed when Andy visited Australia last July. We were at that Army Tank Museum in Pukapunyal where he and Howard were looking at the M113 APC and the Centurion and Howard was pressing Andy to make one for the Aussies in Vietnam range.

Andy, being the businessman, was doing the calculations for adding these vehicles to other ranges, so a US version of the M113 for the Vietnam range, and a IDF M113 and Centurion for the 6 Day War. These vehicles would involve some minor local changes fro the basic hull and so they could come into production in the coming years.
