Could be,

of maybe one of the ADC's to a Marshal or one of the staff of the Emperor??

John

That very well could be .. now to who ? that is the big question ?? That Matt is a sly one for sure :wink2:. I'm really wondering if this is a single figure or part of a bigger set .... maybe we will finally get that mounted Emperor . Well the figure from what I can see looks GREAT... the uniform looks very nicely done . regards Gebhard

Simon mate,
Oh, how so true. My wallet just took flight and ran out the door.^&grin

WOOOOOOOOOOOO,
Just shows you how carefully you have to be in choosing your words nowadays when posting. Just received an email from an upset FL collector thinking I was having a go at FL prices. My apologizes, I was trying to convey the message that my wallet would be hit hard by buying many multiples of these NAM figures. My era, a must have range.
Cheers Howard

Well, my wallet is afraid too. Just from this glimpse, I know I will have to dip into Vietnam - just a small patrol. I was already planning a lot more ACW and AWI figures, and I definitely must several 101st Airborne pieces.

Mate, I got what you meant first time round. Looking forward to seeing where the range goes.
Cheers

Definitely would work for me. Would fill a big hole in my collection as my only Vietnam figure is a Britains Green Beret. Hopefully Marines will be included in this range.

Just heard from a dealer friend of mine who stated the FL VietNam range will come out in about a month. So it looks like a sure thing. Can,t wait.
Don,t mind figures in a different scale if it is a completely different range.

I would like to take a close look at this aswell ....missed out on K&C's VietNam....but one thing I know First Legion would do a terrific job.!!!!!!!!!!!!

In its other ranges FL tends to focus on particular battles - I wonder if they will be doing this for Vietnam - say Ia Drang Valley or Tet or going for a more generic approach? Not wishing to get ahead of ourselves, perhaps, with luck, a M113 will be somewhere along the pipeline sometime.

The RTO looks like "From a distance" as being with the 25th Division (Electric Grapes). That would make the area of operations in the Iron Triangle are of South Vietnam. My father was in the 25th Division when they deployed to Vietnam from Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He was stationed in Cu Chi during his tour.
I think that a 105mm canon and crew would be an awesome subject. And for the other side, a VC mortar crew.

I just enquired from FL for any further info on a VietNam series. They replied that there is in fact a VietNam line coming out. Preorders for the first 4 figures will be in mid July with August delivery. He further stated that as of now they have 9 figures with pictures coming soon.
Great news!

This new range has more than just my interest . . . . there goes my budget . . . . . Would love it if FL produced Viet Nam era USMC . . . .
:smile2: Mike

Wonder if they can make a Huey and a Duster, I have given up on finding the old K&C Wood versions.

That was my take as well and I think that would be an excellent choice. "Generic" infantry division which will give collectors a lot of good options. The 25th wasnt air mobile so that would (probably) rule the Huey out but I think it makes the 113 a very strong possibility down the road.

I think (am hoping actually) that this range is more of a dip of the toes into post WW2 conflicts and that it will broaden into OIF/OEF troopers.

Vietnam is a range I could support though I wonder about the commercial viability of VC/NVA figures at $50+/pop

Hurrayyy!!! Chris made it back!! glad to see ya posting again, I as well would like to see some modern day ranges, I do so love my WWII, but I think I could find some room for a modern line...Sammy

P.S. if you all make it down from Flagstaff to the desert, (Phoenix/tucson)shoot me a email.

Elements of the 25th (As with every other infantry unit in Vietnam) was transported by helicopter for operations. An ACAV and/or M-48 would be great, but I think that an M-42 Duster is an underrepresented piece of armor. I am excited about this range.
