I know the show just ended but frankly I'm having trouble getting over the show (a common affliction I'm sure).

Anyway, next year's show is September 30, 2008. I made my reservations yesterday and will be arriving on September 27.

It's never too early to plan! ;)

Well, I did find some SOHKs which I passed off to Thierry and you did miss the ones that Darryl and Woody had, so......:D

Steven has beaten me to a bunch of items over the years, but he's such a gentleman that he has actually given me some old Seaforths he found.

Indeed he is. I received some beautiful pieces from him in Chicago.

However, to make sure I beat him to the glossy pieces for 2008, I am cloning myself and then leaving tomorrow for Chicago :D;)

Steven and I are already here . . . and we found the prototype of the Strictly Limited MK.2 FokkerWulf Scheissen-Schlepper Mit Struddelhumpfen und Wanker Kanone Blitz Fleiger (but I think its the MK3 . . . you can tell by the number of rivits).

Okay, so it's still 5 months off, but...September has started to pop up on my strategic planning radar. Ideally I will be there by Thursday AM and am wondering what might be in the works this year. Any talk of dinner or lunch events for example and are there any well established patterns in terms of what happens on particular days and nights? Unlike past years where I've been in and out in a single long day, I'm hoping to spend a night or two this year. Please bear with my eagerness...cannot help it I'm afraid.

Chicago in September and the Symposium in March are my two favorite toy soldier events of the year. I can't wait either!:D:cool:

Well, there's the Figarti lunch on Friday and the Treefrog-Sierra-Sager dinner on Friday and on Saturday, no special events as far as I know. Just a lot of room shopping.

Can one of you early birds find me an AN14abc and the Vietnam Air Cav set for a good price of course ...............I give nice gifts as finders fees!

Just kidding, I am still trying to work this one in to the schedule, my wife's hq is in Chitown, so it would be a perfect excuse!

You gotta go. Have you been before. This will be my third.

Is the Friday dinner the one that Andy spoke at last year?

Yes, also the one where they gave out the free figure.

Thanks Brad, that is the event I was mostly wondering about. Am hoping for something similar on the Friday evening to attend this year. Also hoping to meet some characters from this esteemed forum of course.

Booked all my travel items today for this trip. I won't get there until Friday evening so I'm sure I'll miss out on a ton of room trading. It will be good to be back in the Windy City though.

You've inspired me to book a hotel reservation...so its settled then....now just need to wait 5 months and start scrounging together some funds in the mean time.

Septermber, Schaumburg, Ill., my favorite time of the year.
Please it is way too early to start thinking of it! About the 1st of August is when I really start getting anxious.

I plan on doing this, booking next week, should arrive sometime Thursday, although I will stay at the nearby Marriott, since I used to travel for a living, that is a very economical deal and more to spend on the toys!!!!!!!
