so I am all booked, arrive mid afternoon Thursday 25th!

I would love to go but as my passport needs renewing and at $400 to renew I don't think it will be happening any time soon :(

Hi Vamp,

I hope you can make this too. As you know, circumstances dictated that I miss last year's show and, consequently, I missed the opportunity to meet you. My reservations are in place and baring unforseen events, I plan to be at the show this year. I will be arriving on Thursday afternoon. I hope to see you there!

I live around a half hour from the show but always end up driving back and fourth three times was wondering for the guys that book hotel rooms if I was to stay one night is there a night where any events are planned. I guess is any night better than another night? I never really get to talk to anyone because I am so busy trying to figure out which rooms I have already been in and which ones I want to go back to?!
 
Man, all this Chicago talk is getting me really excited and it's only May 3!

Anyway, I think you want to definitely go to the Friday events: the Figarti lunch and the Treefrog-Sager-Sierra dinner where Andy talks. Last year, everybody repaired back to the hotel and sat around talking in the foyer to the wee hours, with Andy hosting. I think you want to be around on Friday to see if the same thing happens. There was also get togethers at the bar on Saturday.

You can always find a lot of K & C Treefrog people hanging out in Andy's room or just checking in there from time to time. Also, you want to get that sheet they have in the foyers of the floors where they have the trading so you can check off which room you've been to because it can get pretty confusing.

Thanks I will be booking a room tomorrow! Kind of funny everyear I tell myself I am going to be organized as I make my way through the maze of rooms and every year I cant make heads or tales of what I am doing. Cant change now its tradition!
 
When you book, don't forget to tell them you're there for the Toy Soldier thing because they have a special room rate of approximately $103.
 
I went back and looked at my reservation confirmation and it's actually $105 (still a great rate).

For those thinking about going, I wouldn't delay as the Hyatt does get filled up quickly.
 
For any Marriott reward members out there, the Springhill is 1/2 mile away, for me it equated to free room which is extras $$ to spend on my hobby!! I will get my exercise, but that will be worth it. Plus, it made the trip an easier sell to my better half, I just left out the shifting of funds idea when I told her about it!!!! :)

Yo Troopers, jealous of all this Chicago talk, had a week there what a fantastic city. If you dont know it they have a restaurant called Ed de Bevics think thats how its spealt, its just by McDonalds, its famous because when you go in to eat they insult you, man it was so funny it was right up my street, just loved the sense of humour. Dont miss it and the food is great.

Awesome! KC Dinner is usually Saturday Night and Figarti usually has something Saturday afternoon. Stay tunned, I'm sure we'll hear the official word on this subject soon.

I think that, actually, the lunch and dinner are on Friday because I remember going out for pizza with a bunch of guys on Saturday.
