I booked my room last week...have not booked my flight yet...

you will have a good time there...
the show is actually so big...you can hardly see it in the time allowed...

there is a nice little steak house in walking distance...
literally across the street...
George, Larry and Nick took me over there...
pretty good steaks...

did you get a room on one of the trading floors with the show discount?

Hey Mike, that's great and those steaks sounds juicy, I'm happy to be led astray over there! {sm3}

I'm not sure if I will be given a room on the trading floors but I did book through the CTS website link and got the room discount through the Hyatt website. Do I have to request a room on the trading floors?

I really don't know...I did this year...last time I didn't request one and they put me on an odd floor...just thought it would be more convenient for you on the room trading floors...I think there are 2 floors for room trading...a veteran would know...I'm not sure...

Hi all

I have booked my flight from San Fran to Chicago so I'm all set for the CTSS! I'm flying with Southwest and they only fly into Chicago Midway airport which is further away from the show than O'Hare airport. It's probably been mentioned on the forum before but do any of you that have attended the show, know if the private car which is relatively inexpensive to travel from O'Hare to the CTSS, still reasonably inexpensive and available from Midway Airport to the CTSS?

does anybody know what Uber charges one way from O'hare?

I seem to remember around $45 or $50 was what I paid...

I did Uber last year paid about 32 bucks from O'Hare to Schaumburg.

Thanks Mike, that's a bugger, I'm starting to regret flying into Midlands! Is anyone else flying into this airport around mid day on Wednesday the 19th of May? Perhaps we could share. Otherwise does anyone know if there's shuttle buses running from Midlands to Schaumburg?

Another option is that I stay in Chicago CBD for 2 nights when I arrive and then make my way from the city to the Hyatt on the Friday. I have confirmed accommodation at the Hyatt for 3 nights over the show weekend. I'm assuming there's good transportation from the city to Schaumburg.

Snap! I just realized that the show is not the last weekend in Sept. like it usually is. Usually I'm stuck on a base in the middle of no where for training on the last weekend in Sept. With it a week prior I might actually be able to make it this year.
 
I looked at Uber. It’s about $60 from Midway. From O’Hare about $30. I think I paid around $40 for Viatas last year. I will stick with Viatas when I go next time (I don’t think I will be going this year).

Thanks Brad, I may use Uber although I would need a US phone number for the driver to call me correct? I haven't used Uber before both overseas and in Oz.
