The CTSS 2021 show is Sunday September 26

I live one hour drive from the Show, so I will be going for Room trading and the Show.

Who is going this year? Andy

I only live 1hr 45min north of show location. Even still, I won't be attending. Mike

I was planning on it and have taken the normal vacation I do for it.
However I am wondering if I will. There seems to be quite a few of the regulars who are not coming.
Andy, George, to name a few. And the new variant may stop it anyway as I think another shutdown is looming.
I will likely do one day of room trading if nothing else but maybe not the show itself on Sunday.
Chuck

Chuck, I think either is problematic. I wouldn’t want to be up on either the 4th or 5th floors where little air is circulating and there are people milling about. If I were going on Sunday, I’d probably go later in the day when there are less people.

I am missing this year due to senior in high school homecoming as well as the rescheduled Guns N Roses Concert. I think the show will be a little different this year but if not for what I just posted, I would go. I hate missing this show even if it is not quite normal capacity/attendance, still a lot of fun to be had and I think if you are vaccinated, going to this show is no different than a restaurant, other show, concert, etc. It comes down to being personally comfortable and for me the vaccine does the trick.

The national sports memorabilia show just took place this last weekend and it was a big success. It was mobbed not by just younger people
but alot of seniors were out there spending alot of money. This bodes well for the show. I know you folks up there in the northeast are
alittle apprehensive but things will be fine.

the show was in chicago at the rosemont near ohare. Thousands showed each day from all over the country

Hobby Bunker will be attending. Joe, Joe "Suspenders," and I will be there.

I am looking forward to it. I will be bringing all the newest stuff (metal and plastic). I have also picked up several collections this year so I will bring as much as I can.

See you there!

We will be there as long as it is on! Hopefully showcasing some new figures not out yet as well. Something to look forward to!

Julie

*And bring our our air purifier for our room ^&grin

I started this thread about 14 days ago, and so far it is only me and 2 other forum members attending.

Treefrog and Hobby Bunker are the dealers going.

Are no other Forum members going? Andy

I have made the last 29 shows in a row but I'm still undecided on this year. No covid has nothing to do with it other than it would cause dealers not to show. Just don't know if it's worth the trip.
The last two shows 2018 & 19 I really found nothing new or any good deals. I would give it a 50% chance of attending.

Sad to say that I am going to break my 9 straight shows and miss this one.

For me, it is not worth the high risk associated with the confined spaces and the unvaccinated / unmasked.
Illinois is the 5th worst state for COVID and the numbers are sadly soaring.

Best of luck and good hunting to those attending.

PS: I will be anxiously waiting photos.

Larry, I agree with you and in addition I can't imagine getting on a plane or waiting in line at a crowded airport right now.

It's going to real hard moving thru the rooms in this.
I joke of course. I would be shocked if it happens at all.
As it seems very few vendors are coming.
But if it does I will make appearance at least one day.

Thanks for the laugh; it's been a dumpster fire of a week and I really needed this..........

I can imagine my show helper Larry on Wednesday morning knocking on my door as we head out for our annual tremendous breakfast at the Greek restaurant up the street, I open it and he's standing there in this get up.

With the show being about 6 weeks out, at this stage, I'd be finalizing my inventory to see what older items I need to order and I'd be beginning to paint all the scenery for my rooms and show table displays that all you fellas seem to like so much.

Infuriating that I will not be attending; it doesn't have to be this way/it shouldn't have to be this way, but it is.

That's all I'm going to say on the matter before this thread gets locked too.

I'm going! I live in Chicago though, so it's not all together that difficult of a trek to make. :)

I will be very curious to see the vendor list the Show puts on the tables in the 4th and 5th floor lobbies.

I Plan on being there the day of the show at my usual position in the hall leading to the Main Showroom! If the takes place it will be my 38th.
