Chicago Show 2013 - Figarti (1 Viewer)

Looks like Figarti did their research on the Wittmann Tiger. It has zimmerit as did the actual 007. It also has the 3 antennae of a 1944 Tiger I in the correct spots, including the umbrella antenna.

Terry

Also, it has many photo etched pieces. It's sharp!

Oops. I meant to say the 3 antenna of a command Tiger I.

What material is the Tiger made out of? I have a number of Figarti vehicles, and I'm curious what has changed to reach that price point.

Ok, there is a V2 but it didn't make it to the show. Here are some images of the flyer.

I heard it was some kind of new media but more than that I don't know. I also think that making 500 makes them less expensive.

Jazzeum,

Regarding the Wittman's Last Tiger, is the green camouflage accent less? In this picture the light seems to overpower and covers the actual color
features on this tank, please can you shed a light on this more. If it is 500, I will definitely get one. Thanks:salute::

Think it look really nice and at a great price

A very fair question:salute::...maybe someone can shed some light on this....I assume it is made like the recent Figarti Winter Tiger and the Desert Version....Hope so:wink2:

Superb releases from Figarti as usual, love the Doolittle raid items and the Tiger. Thanks very much for posting Carlos

That Meillerwagon is a must for any V2 collector, allowing for the rocket to be carried or positioned for launch. Excellent.^&cool, Robin.

I wonder if it come with the Hanomag SS-100 Schwerer Radschlepper/Heavy Tractor ?

I intend to use my Figarti Hanomag tractor, not sure whether this is the one you are referring to, or is this a variation to the existing model? Robin.

It the same Robin , lucky I've got three of them so far ^&grin

Rick mentioned last night that the B 24s should be available before Christmas. 200 (100 of each type will be made). I think maybe the markings are different. The plane comes with two pilots in the cockpit that are not remove able.

I'm pretty sure I will be getting one. It's an iconic plane and when will we see an affordable bomber again?

Makes a great Christmas present ^&cool

For $169. I might pull the trigger on that one. Good bang for the buck.

I believe it will be a production or made on request piece. It is actually in two parts and I heard that you could just buy one piece rather than both. I also heard that each piece is $3,000, but don't hold me to that.

My impression of the Tiger was that it was made to be affordable. 500 are being made. They haven't done that in awhile I believe.

It appears that the 2 versions of the B-25 are Doolittle's and Lawson's. Doolittle's is the first one in line with the #2344 on the tail but no other individual markings. The second one is Lawson's and appears to have his personal aircraft ID painted on the nose, The Ruptured Duck. The third plane in line appears to be a third version. These look wonderful. -- Al

After looking at the other photos, there are 3 versions on display. As said, the first is Doolittle's #2344. He was first plane off the deck of the Hornet. The second model is Lawson's Ruptured Duck, tail #2261. He was seventh off the deck. The third plane is tail #2249, the plane of Capt. Ross, and eleventh off the deck. -- Al

It also has the steel rimmed wheels and mono gunsight of a late production Tiger I. And the jack is correctly on the left side of the tank's rear for a late production Tiger I command tank with an antenna storage tube correctly on the right side of the tank's rear. I wonder if they got the engine heater access port under the left side exhaust manifold - can't see the spot in Brad's photo of the rear.

Thank you, Carlos and Brad, for posting those photos!

I'm really impressed by the display base built for the Mitchells. That's a great rendering of the Hornet's island and flight deck. I imagine that's just a piece used for show display, though, and not available through retail sales. The detail is very good, and building something like that, in that scale, is quite an undertaking. Very impressive, and I imagine it was even moreso in person.

Prost!
Brad
