Chicago Show 2013 - Figarti (3 Viewers)

I shot this in the display area of the show this morning. It's an unedited YouTube video of the B25.

What is the Tiger tank made of? Part metal, lead, resin, plastic, etc.? And is it free standing as it is depicted in the pictures taken of it? Or is it permanently affixed to a stand as previously discussed?

Thanks,

Alex

Thanks for posting this video. it confirms the tail # 2261 of Lawson's Ruptured Duck and with your earlier photos it confirms 3 different B-25's. -- Al

I don't know. I'll ask tonight

Carlos, Thank you for the awesome pics. I love the Panther prototype. I would love to have that model in my collection. The new Tiger looks great, especially the tracks, and the B52's are fantastic. Was Figarti selling hangars to store them in? I hope you had a great time!

Joe

The B25s come with a cardboard cutout resembling a piece of a deck on which the plane can sit.

Here are some close ups of the nose section.

I don't know what it's made of. Meant to ask Rick but forgot. It comes with a stand, which I think is for shipping purposes but it screws off.

That transportation method of screwing the tank to a wooden base is exactly how HB used to send their AFV's. I think, from my experience it is a better method than jamming it in to very unforgiving foam which, Figarti have done and, more than likely why a lot of their stuff has been received by collectors in a poor state

Thanks for posting the pictures. All the new release from Figarti are very nice especially the B25 and Panther.

are you getting mixed up tcs pershing tank?

no, i was told by a reliable source that a pershing is coming to fight the panther in a historic scene. You know when figarti does a tank they do it quite well. I got a su 85 from big george that was awesome. I got his last one

That great news about the Pershing but would of thought a king tiger would be a better seller {eek3}

I purchased one of the TIGERS and it is screwed down to the base of which the screws can be removed. Was also told Figarti's no happy with this new shipping method that it has been nightmare, breakage cost are way up and I have seen exambles of that. Figarti's going to another form of shipping this model...Ron

Sadly, this keeps the hobby in line for a number of manufacturers. Once one makes something everyone seems to!!!sdkfz 222 everyone does one, Panthers, Pershing to name a few .... Oh Dear!!

Totally agree that it seems strange to do a AFV that had limited WWII service and, is not really a popular AFV when there is quite a list of allied and German AFV's that would spring to mind which one would think is or should be higher up the list
Mitch

Are you getting mixed up TCS Pershing tank?
