Chicago Show 2024 Pictures (2 Viewers)

Great pictures Carlos! Thank you for taking so many and sharing them all. I'm sure all who attended had enjoyed a special day. Do you know who was selling the Nevskaya figures on black bases in this picture?

This was my first ever Chicago show and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The hotel was very nice and the room trading was a totally new experience for me. Many vendors with everything from play sets, to plastics, to vintage figures all the way up to our modern day current offerings. Lots of cool stuff for just about anyone in the hobby.

It's always great seeing and hanging out with the fellow collectors I already know and meeting new ones. Treefrog, Sierra & Hobby Bunker all had wonderful displays of items for sale. Their trading rooms and their tables at the actual show were professionally done.

I was very happy to see that the show was well attended. It appeared that the foot traffic was non-stop from the time the show opened till about an hour before closing.

Ken & Ericka were there as were a good portion of the WB team including Ted Deddens & Doug Dearth. In my opinion WB were the stars of the show! Lots of great figures and as you saw, their pedestal vignettes were absolutely beautiful. They brought some of their soon to be released AWI figures and some Village Green figures with them and I bought a bunch of each.

Great job Matt Murphy for putting together an awesome show!!

Quick note as it was a pleasure hanging out with a good number of forum members including Mark, Steve, Andreas, Hans, Matt M and crew, JB, Carlos, Greg, Michael, Steven and of course Julie Aron and team and I am sure I forgot someone! Great show as well. Saw a wide variety of items. Good finds and some bargains.

Julie and I took a swing through the Old Toy Soldier (Ray Haradin's Room) and probably the best $20 we ever spent for about 14 items including a 1/18? scale Tuk Tuk, all wood handpainted. Julie can post photos but in my opinion, it was the buy of the show!

The Tuk-Tuk!

I used these while in Thailand in college - Bangkok and Chang Mai mostly. Best way to get around as college students! I know I have pics actually in one, just have to find them in my personal archives!

Still digging out, but came home with a few other fun items I'll try to share by end of the week!

Ah, that makes sense, Figurines & Collectibles. Thanks for the info Tom! Would love to see more pics of those black marble based figures. That's awesome that you scored the Aeroart Landsknecht cannon and crew! That's great to year there was solid traffic Thursday thru Sunday!
