Holy Grail for me - Limited SKODA Mortar Set from Toy Soldier Shoppe (Wisconsin), super rare!

Shows are always lots of fun. Great chance to visit friends which is mainly why I go, finding the above stuff is just gravy!

Nice haul, Tom!

I didn't know anyone had re-issued the old Superior Skoda set. It was originally sold as a kit, and it was exquisite. The barrel was rifled, and the figures were very well sculpted.

One note, though, I think the Figarti figure at the start is actually a Chinese officer, not Japanese, from his uniform.

No Reeves/King-White finds? :D

Prost!

Ya, I think I have every type now, but all different promos! I would assume a ton of these were made for various things over the years!

Not a bad price, I got mine for $10!

Martyn, if you do see the Nap one or a Coonskin Cap one, grab me them at London if you remember, happy to pay the fare and shipping. If not, no biggie, but they look neat!

Dear Tom:

I had purchased "Set#002" of the old Superior Miniatures "25th Anniversary" issue of the WW1 Austrian Army Skoda Mortar by Bill Schommer at the Toy Soldier Shoppe then in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. I sold it as an ad hoc dealer for about the same price I paid for it during the Old Toy Soldier (OTS) Show back in 2003, the first and very last time I will be a "dealer" at the OTS show. Selling on eBay, etc is a better way to go if you are not a full time dealer. I also like your special set of Unicorn's Laurel & Hardy (L&H) as Holmes & Watson! I now have #14 L&H sets made by "Unicorn Miniatures" or Robert W. Armstrong of N.E. England.
