A great big thank you to desk11desk12 for those photos. They are the best ones yet as they are very clear closeups of the products. From this new batch of photos I found myself getting really excited about these upcoming releases! Those BBG pieces look really well done. In particular I'm intrigued by the "boot stealer". As I generally prefer figures I find this set a fresh idea, one not done to my recollection. It really conveys strong emotions in me. Its one thing to collect dead/wounded figures but this piece takes it to another level. I don't think since the Crusader piece showing a Saracen holding the severed head of a Crusader have I had such an emotional reaction. One thing about collecting toy soldiers is we see a very sanitized version of what they depict....war, which is brutal, horrific and ugly. In a very subtle way this piece draws attention to the disgusting, degrading happenings. I've seen pictures of something like this from the BOB and it was a common occurrence. I'll likely pick this piece up. Well done K&C!

P.S. The new recon vehicle looks excellent too!
I agree the boot acquisition scene is a good one but I don't think it is disgusting, degrading or horrific and certainly not in the league of the crusader Saracen you mention. Appropriating any useful item from one's fallen foes is a very old practice that probably started with the first battle between men. Foot soldiers have always been highly dependent on their shoes and the need to replace them was a constant challenge over the centuries of warfare. The only soldiers that didn't practice it were those with excellent supply lines. Anyway, it is a good addition and I hope it sets a standard of other companies and other wars.

Very well said-My first thought was "hey, that's realistic" and an innovative addition to the line. I've seen numerous pics from the 'Bulge' where german troops had moved to GI boots and overcoats to augment their meager gear...'spoils of war'...
I like it.

Wow......what fantastic Photo's. Thanks so much for posting!!

Really love those Dio's. Nice to see some great close-up shots of the new AK Kubelwagan too.:D

Its interesting just what evokes emotion in the toy soldier world. Recently, we have had the debate about 'gestapo arrest' and, more recently, the civillian ranges from FOB pinching supplies, ammo whatever from each other was part of army life on all sides and, when you see death and destruction around one everyday I suppose what can seem callous or degrading is just practicality in the eyes of the soldiers in the field.

I, as perhaps many have, read reports of this type of occurance and from soldiers on the same side. Its a development in the hobby that gives the collector the opportunity to have it as real as it can be.

My initial reaction to the set was... Amazing that someone in the hobby is doing this and, I am sure it will be very popular.

Who is the German officer holding the map in front of the armored car? Also, someone on another thread said something about Bulge FJ's, I didn't see any in these pics. Could someone confirm or deny this rumor?

Paste I'm really excited by the SDKFZ 247 armoured car for the Bulge range. A very rare vehicle. Once again K&C goes where no one else has.

GJB22...
Definately looks a new officer with camo jacket. If you look around the dio there seems quite a few new figures with some in the tunnel with the white vehicles

If I'm looking at the same one you are, it looks to me like the one from BBG011, Command Group.
