I'm going to try to use as much of my Civil War Collection as possible in this set-up before I'm done. For starters i have my painted plastic Yanks advancing of the Fortifications manned mainly by Conte Rebels.

O to borrow Fubar's Civil War forces....

You have a knack at getting a real depth to your layouts. ^&cool

Thanks, Jeff. Depth is always a problem on larger set-ups. I am very pleased with the Traverse Dioramics backgrounds I'm using in this series. They really help with the depth.

Impressive pics as usual ^&cool

Speaking of big displays I do miss the pics of the huge outdoor displays that a member used to post complete with tanks etc home-made out of timber etc. I can't recall his forum name but I think he was from the Southern part of the US.

Thanks mate, how could I forget an obvious tag like that, I will dig up his old display thread for the new members to check out.

Btw, I see he is from NE Oregon, which I understand from my limited knowledge of the US is kinda the opposite of the South ^&grin

Here we go with the next stage of the set up. The trees are actually blocking most of the action from this vantage point.

Absolutely killer dio!! that's how I wish I could do it:) thanks for posting I could look at this set-up all nite...Sammy

Awesome thread Joe, it's like looking at the very best of ACW artwork, very nicely done!

I'm off to the doctor to get a little bit of skin cancer cut out of my face. It shouldn't be any big deal so I hope to be able to take the set up to the next level tomorrow.
