In March, 1998 three European Heraldry Tents and a Chinese Imperial Tent were produced in 3-D polystone.
The Heraldry tents and the Chinese Imperial Tent are all the same polystone tent casting painted with national heraldric symbols in different national colors. The crimson and yellow Scottish Tent, designated HKB19 retailed for $153. The red and white English Tent, designated HKB20 retailed for $153. The blue and white French tent, designated HKB21 retailed for $153. The Chinese Imperial Tent, designated IC003, retailed for $217.
There was also a special production German Heraldry Tent sold in limited numbers.
When they were released, I purchased a complete set of three regular production Euuropean Heraldry Tents, but stored them away until 2007, when K&C released the Crusaders series, and I bought the original Saracen Castle Diorama which launched the series at that years OTSN. Unfortunately, when I opened the box marked "English Tent", to my chagrin I found a second Scottish Heraldry Tent. By this late date, it was unlikely I would find one of the original English tents, so I just chalked it up to the vageries of early K&C packaging, and displayed two Scottish Tents alongside the French one. Just this afternoon I traded the second Scottish Tent for an English Tent with good friend and great collector Larry Lo.
I sent Brad 2 photos of the three European Heraldry Tents to post on this thread. Perhaps Larry Lo, who has the Original Chinese Heraldry Tent, will post a photo of it on this thread as well.
