The Watch tower I had Paul 3D print it to my own specs, due to height limitations I had, and it came out looking rather good all the same !

I think something like this would of been common occurrence especially in the conquered provinces such as Britannia and the Military being the enforcers of the Pax Romana, and having the position of power simply by dint of being in the Roman military, it would of course been the very joy of petty tyrants and bullies, anyone who just liked swing their weight about or even someone who just happened to get out of the wrong side of their bed that morning, perhaps here such is my little story.
Where though the Road is nothing more than a dirt track the Decurion makes the civilian, probably not a citizen, perhaps just a slave driving the Oxen move off the road onto the rough ground which would cause delay and extra effort at the very least.
if there were a ditch running alongside as you'd expect on what we today today think of as a Roman road, you'd really be in trouble getting your cart off and on if you'd not spotted the Legions or Auxiliaries far enough ahead to give you time to get out of the way, using it especially if you were fully loaded with breakables. You can imagine a cart simply being turned over if you were quick enough !
Of course, if a citizen you'd be able to make your complaints and hope they'd be upheld, but.....

Nope, when you think of what life was like for the many, in centuries past, it makes you appreciate being alive in today's society, even if there are a lot of you know whats about !

Always fun to set up a new scene and of the ancients, Romans are the one that appeals to me most, probably because of Britains ancient past, which always fascinated me as a child !

Good point. I'm sure many citizens felt and were abused, especially in far-from-Rome places like Britain.
And another good point: things are much better today so I guess I should stop complaining.

Watch tower I've had quite a few months now and was something which I asked Paul to print, which he did after I emailed him a couple of illustrations of ones from Trajan's Dacian Campaigns to give an idea of the sort of thing I was after, and it turned out very well.
Lots of choice as to appearance of Watch towers depending on what they were made of, etc etc.
