You can mention it - you just can't post any names because Treefrog doesn't know what happened and can't take sides. With all the fights already on the Forum, can you imagine what would happen if the buyer and seller both were posting their side. It would be like a debate comparing .... Oops - better not say that ^&grin

That has been a forum rule for many years. I saw your post last night before going to bed and was going to mention the policy but fell asleep. What you can do is let others know that you had a bad dealing with a certain (unnamed) person and ask them to pm you if they want details.

Each transaction has two sides to the story. We've seen people come on and completely trash a seller (or buyer)...only to find out later that the person doing the trashing was actually at fault. We've also had people rail against how awful someone was, only to have things sorted out to everyone's satisfaction later. Many people saw the tirade, very few noticed the 'oops, it's all good now' post. A buyer or seller can have their reputation needlessly ruined over a simple misunderstanding that should have been handled privately.

We do not have the resources to investigate each situation to see who is at fault, so we do not allow folks to name names.

If anything waiting past the safety net of Paypal was wrong but, hindsight is a wonderful thing and trusting people in a small hobby is what we do without thinking. Hope you get it sorted out and either product or refund ASAP.

It's sad, but true, that some of the people who join this Forum don't deal with us as we deal with them. I suppose we're all naive in thinking that everybody who joins will act above aboard; when it turns out that it's not the case it's quite disappointing.
