College Football 2011! (3 Viewers)

One thing for sure it will be another national championship for the SEC !!! Unfortunately not the Gameccocks (this year ).

LSU 21 -13
Just highlights the year after year superiority of the SEC in football. No one else is close in quality teams. -- Al

The BIG GAME is tomorrow night. What are the predictions here? I see LSU winning this but it could be close. Don't see a blowout, either way. What else could one say after their first meeting? LSU 14-10. -- Al
LSU sure doesn't look good, so far. Too long a lay-off? The Tide has outplayed them all the way. The way LSU is going, those 9 points could be enough. -- Al

I know the Bama defense is responsible for LSU looking so bad, But LSU just looks so flat and uninspired. Hard to believe they could be so "out of it" for the biggest game of the year. It isn't over but unless LSU wakes up, maybe change Qb's, and try some north-south offense, they are dead meat. -- Al

Awful game so far. The championship game was Stanford OSU.

Wait; the championship game is TONIGHT?

I thought they were playing that on March 5th and tonight was either the poulan Weed Whacker Bowl or the Human Fund bowl, thanks for letting me know, so if Bama wins tonight do they play again for a best two out of three?

Tigers have not crossed midfield and have 76 yards of total offense. Their QB is awful. When are they going to change him? Next season?

Wow, you can't buy that kind of excitement; whoever the guy is who came up with this whole BCS thingy is a super genius..................

Sure didn't expect the shelacking that Bama gave LSU. Expected a close game, won by LSU, not the one-sided beating that we got. Got to hand it to Bama, they really stomped LSU into the ground. If the game had been close, I think LSU is champion, regardless of who wins. The one-sided nature of the game negates that. Bama wins the championship, no question. Congratulations to The Tide. -- Al

I watched this whole massacre, so I know how one-sided it was but the stats are scary. Bama outgained LSU 384 to 92 with 69 plays to LSU's 44. LSU only managed 53 yards passing and 39 yards rushing on 27 attempts along with being only 2 out of 13 on 3rd and 4th down attempts. This was as thorough a defensive stomping as I can remember seeing. I am not confused about how good Bama was, rather I am confused at how bad LSU performed. I thought that LSU would adjust at the half, maybe change Qb's, but there was nothing from any sector of the team, coaches or players. It was the flattest performance by a team in a big game that I have seen. Bama took it to them and earned the title. -- Al

It certainly was the opposite of NFL video game ball. Like two heavyweights slugging it out for 15 rounds. Not a pretty sight but that's how they played in the good old days. I'm glad Bama won as the LSU QB shouldn't have been on the field with his recent brawl. Kicking some guy in the head etc. On to next year which is looking good for my Trojans with Barkley returning.

This had to be one of the worst games I've ever seen. LSU was clearly incompetent. What I can't believe was that moron coach standing on the sidelines doing nothing as time ticked off the clock, tick-tock, tick-tock. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes today, down in Louisiana.

Please enough with that moronic option. Play like real quarterbacks are supposed to play. Play like Andrew Luck and Brandon Weeden played.

Game was pathetic.

Weren't you complaining about all the passing and yardage in the Saints game? This was an ugly game no doubt, but there were two great defenses on the field. Maybe two of the best in the history of college football. Hard to get anything going against that kind of talent and like it or hate it that's SEC football. Ugly but often effective. LSU beat Oregon and WVA with their video game offenses early in the year. WVA put 70 up on Clemson in a bowl game. Oregon put 45 up in the Rose Bowl. But they couldn't do anything with LSU this year.

There's a difference between a pro game type of passing and what passed for an offense at LSU yesterday; the LSU offense probably put college offenses back five years. Again, I point to the OSU Stanford game, either of which would have made for a better game than what we saw last night and would probably be national champs this morning.

LSU asked for a ruling regarding an unidentified substance on the field . Turned out to be the goal line !!:D

What a joke the BCS is, where do I begin;

You're letting a team that didn't even win it's DIVISION, nevermind conference, go the title game
The same team that LOST to the #1 team in the country
You're asking LSU to beat Alabama twice, while Alabama only has to split to get the title
Explain to me how you lose to the #1 ranked team during the season and still end up #2
The game was played on January 9th; seriously, TEN days after the traditional bowl day for colleges

If Alabama had a kicker, it never would have come down to this, they would have been ranked #1 and that defense would have stopped anyone they played.

But their kicker that day stunk on ice and they are fraud champions.

College football is a farce.

Alabama no sooner wins the title then 3 of it's players bolt for the NFL (along with 2 LSU players). Education is a wonderful thing.:D -- Al

If Paterno steps down, he'll be dead in a year. I just cannot see how the man who has dedicated his life to football would be able to carry on after all of this.

There you go- I called it back on November 8th.

This is just so undignified- people lining up crying and carrying on- the dude was 85 lived a remarkable and successful life- what is all the crying about?? Paterno himself would tell these derelicts to get out and do something positive- how much impact could he possibly have had on all these people?? Perspective would be a good idea here- wonder how many tears and uncontrolled hysterical bursts Paterno would have had if these fanatics passed on??? ^&confuse

Not that it's exactly the same and I don't know if the man was ill or not when he died, not to mention that this doesn't happen to all former coaches, but Bear Bryant died about four weeks after he coached his last game.
