Four Oscars including best film, best actor for Colin Firth and best director for Tom Hooper. Its good to see that quite low budget movies can triumph through acting and directing skill rather than the number of explosions a film has.Congrats to all involved^&cool^&cool:salute::

I quite agree with all that mate. I have been a fan of Colin Firth for some time.^&cool

Yes Bill, he's a good actor isn't he. Recently saw a film in which he played a gay lecturer in the US in grief after the loss of a lover ( title eludes me right now) but although a pretty sombre film he was very good indeed.

Well, as usual I was working at the bench last night but when Ericka told me that the Academy Awards were on I shut the light off to go and watch.
I liked this movie so much that I was disappointment that it did not get even more awards. Excellent cast and every one of them played the parts so well that they could have won.
If you haven't gone to see this yet, go. Movies are always best on the big screen! Over the years I have gone out of my way to see films that were made before my time on the big screen at art houses, and every time I do it is like seeing them for the first time. Treat yourself and don't wait for the DVD.
