Thanks again Mike an hope will be seeing others from out playset addict.......Joe

Good photos and thanks for posting.
Did anybody see the NW Frontier series ?
Regards
Brett

Richard Conte had his NW Frontier figures on display - I think I got a photo of them and posted it above - some pics I took were too out of focus though to post - hopefully the NW Frontier figures did not get cut. Oops - I just took a look and the photos I took must of been in the ones that got scrapped. They were all displayed behind glass with a mirror background - really hard to focus through all the glare. They did look very, very nice.

RC was there and I had some very nice conversations with Mr. Conte and Joe Baker. They are both very nice guys.

By the way, RC had some very attractive prices on plastics and some of his unpainted pewter figures on sale sas well. I tried to make sure that he had a bit less to ship back to North Carolina :)

Good for Conte to be there! That new Roman/Barbarian set looks good. Is that the only new Roman set? Not sure if the rest of those Roman sets in the photo were from the original Spartacus range of sets...?

Northwest Frontier sets would be interesting to see.

I wish I could have made it out there myself to see all the new stuff. Must have been a great time for all!!! :)

....
I have those so I would say yes they are.

i was hoping to see new zulu war figures for next year, oh well suppose i will have to keep pining and whishing the months away untill richard gives us a sneak preview.if your reading rich please, please, please, please:):):):)

Richard's stuff looks spectacular in person...

I really don't think the pictures do them justice...

I have never owned a metal Conte figure before...

I do own a dozen plastic Spartans...

I just acquired the Rome set "Winter Games" and the Zulu set "Flying Zulu"...

honestly...

these are ridiculous good...

the poses are spectacular and they are the best "hand to hand" sets I have ever seen...

I can't tell you how many times I have taken them off my shelf just to look at them again...

Conte is doing a lot more than I thought they were...anybody that hasn't explored them lately should visit their website...

Nice additions to your shelf Michael now waiting to see you at play with them....PapaZ

When I first stated collecting 54mm the only company I would buy from was Conte.I almost bought the same sets as Mike.As far as action poses I don't think anyone except Collectors Showcase comes even close.

These are the only two sets of Contes I have ever owned...but I have to say...I have sooooo underestimated this company...looking at the sets on Richard's website is not a fair valuation to holding the sets in your hands...these "hand to hand" sets are really innovative...I have not seen any work like them before...they really are a step in a new direction in sculpting...
