Temporarily repulsed, the Germans regroup....

An infantry attack is developed......

Support is brought up for the panzer grenadiers with light armour, but it is not enough....

The attack stalls......

Sepp looks on - he is impatient as the schedule is slipping.....[/ATTACH]

No slacking allowed.....armour support arrives......

The attack is pressed at night with searchlights for illumination..

But to no avail....casualties are evacuated as best they can.....[/ATTACH]

The road is blocked. Deitrich orders a concentration of armour...


Artillery support is also pushed up the congested roads.....


Meanwhile the armour starts to repair and the troops look for some Christmas dinner......

American resistance is still stubborn and heroic......

They will not give ground......all over the Bulge there is resistance and even though good progress is made when the kampfegruppe changes axis and swings south through the better tank country, the tough nut of Bastogne continues to choke the road network and soak up the support troops behind it.....

The Germans try to parley at Bastogne....

So the Germans wait to attack.......

The attack begins with infantry and armour....

But despite the pressure the US army sticks like glue.....

The Germans pull back, rest and rearm as best they can. Food is brought up to the front line and the 'scavengers' take full advantage of the lull in the fighting.....

To panda1gen, this is the nuts. I agree it is like watching the History channel. I like this better than tv. What a talent from your highly detailed photos, to your German General narritive. I love the buildings and land scape work. Keep the photos comming, very impressive. I am new at this site, I do make things, but after seeing your work, I have alot of learning to do. Keep up the great work. I can't afford K&C, I collect Conte plastics and like doing conversions. I hope to show some of my buildings and walls soon. Great Diorama Mike.
