CS00433 -- PzKfw IV Normandy (3 Viewers)

The shurzen goes on easy when using the matching indented numbers. Each strut has a small indented number, it needs to be matched with the corresponding hole in the shurzen plate. But then that's it!

Glad to hear you like it!:)

regards,

Brian

LOL...I must be sure to wear my glasses. I didn't notice it. Thanks, Jürgen

No they are all able to breakdown quite well. We made sure without the brackets and skirts the vehicle had no remnants of the schurzen. Rest assured it was well thought out in that regard.:)

Brian, that's what I meant. Looking at the photo with the dead crewman it looks like the skirting comes off with no traces remaining.

Mine arrived today. It is gorgeous! However, I had a little trouble putting the schürtzen together. It makes a beautiful static display, but I suspect it will be too delicate to use as a gaming piece. But I shall try this weekend. ;) Jürgen

Gaming Piece?, are you playing Flames of War in 1/30th scale??

Thanks for the link, the video gave a good overview of a war game in progress.

Just got news that a few bits are coming from the family across the pond so, should have the panzer VI, and some unknowns as a surprise soon. The joys of american relatives!!!!
Mitch

We do. We were featured in Wargames Illustrated, October 2006 for winning a best game award at Historicon that year. :D

Here's a picture from that convention.

right you are OzDigger. Most wargamers are unfamiliar with the world of toy soldier collecting. So, the Conte pieces attract a great deal of attention everywhere we go. ;) Jürgen

Jurgen, I don't know much about wargaming but I understand most wargamers use smaller figures. Can you give us an approximate percent of players that use the larger 1:32 scale figures like you guys game with?

Its not a big thing using this scale in the UK

Many players seem to enjoy skirmish level games with 15–28mm figures. Rarely do you find anyone brave enough to place King & Country or the likes on a gaming table. There is a risk involved.

Those who do game with toy soldiers more often than not use abstract ranges where the ground scale doesn't match the size of the miniature. In Final Combat, the ground scale is 1:1. So, the weapons are always at point blank range with the possible exception of pistols and submachine guns. Those rules use 1 inch to represent a yard for 1:32 to 1:30 scale minis.

We are playing this afternoon, and I will try to post a short video displaying the new CS Pz IV. I am resorting to super glue for the side skirts. The braces will not stay on. But it still looks awesome!

The UK is simply miles ahead of the U.S. in terms of wargaming, period. However, many of my British friends who venture across the pond to HMGS conventions have enjoyed our games. David Marshall of TM Terrain is among them. :D

My Panzer IV, Normandy w/o zim, arrived yesterday and it has surpassed the Arnhem Tiger as my favorite CS piece! The paint and detail is outstanding. The skirting assembles easily and stays in place well. I will probably display it with just the turret skirts. Now I want the winter version as well as the AK one! Well done, Brian!:D

Great to hear that the armor can be completely removed, that feature puts this release at the top of the pack of Panzer IVs and will be very useful for my Kharkov setup.
