DAK002-DAK009 Panzer III's and Infantry Pre-Order (2 Viewers)

Well, we are pleased to get the ball rolling once again with the first of MANY pre-orders to commence over the coming weeks. This time, we're finally revisiting North Afrika with the first addition to the DAK range since we launched it nearly a year ago. It won't be so long until the next release, as we'll be releasing additional DAK figures and another vehicle late next month (along with Winter Germans, so you Stalingrad collectors don't feel left out!).

But right now we are happy to present you with DAK002 Panzer III Ausf J (Late) - 5th Light Division and DAK003 Panzer III Ausf J (Late) 15th Panzer Division along with the first of our DAK Infantry, DAK006-DAK009! In addition, the 2 different crew figures from the Panzer III's are also available separately as DAK004 and DAK005, one of the benefits of having full bodied crew figures.

As we don't have any opposition available (at least not yet!) for the DAK range, we've decided to do some non-combat figures and will continue with this trend for a bit until such time as we raise some forces for them to fight against. Now that we're really getting this sub-range to our WWII: The Arms and Armies of the Second World War going, expect additional DAK releases every few months or so.

Both of these tanks have the following features (except DAK003, which does not have the AAMG mounted on the turret):

- The commander's hatch opens and closes
- Full bodied crew figure may be displayed inside or outside of the vehicle
- Fully rotating turret
- The gun raises and lowers
- Ball mounted hull machine gun moves
- Anetenna can be raised or lowered
- Turret Rear Stowage Hatch Opens and Closes
- Anti-Air Machine Gun (not DAK003)
- 20mm Spaced Armor on Mantlet and Hull Superstructure

Matt, I like the fact that there are 2 similar versions of the DAK panzer with 2 different turret numbers....Might this be a consideration for the Stalingrad Panzer III as well?....I would definitely purchase 2 or more if this option was available for Stalingrad... I think that most FL collectors would be interested in having 2 or more tanks in their diorama set ups....Again Excellent sub-range and continued success......Thank you for a great product

Quite nice, like the commander reading the map. Nice pose. Surprised at the 5th being portrayed as it only allows a small window for AK fans (5th came to Afrika march 41 and was strengthened by elements of 15th Panzer Division april/may) as the light division was redesignated 21st Panzer Division in August 1941 just means if they do represent the 21st Panzers you can't have the two together. Those wanting AK units are going to be happy.

A very nice group of additions for the North Africa campaign. Each time I look at First Legion's armored vehicles, I can't help but be impressed by the weathering and detail painting. That is some first-rate work!

Guys...

Not wishing to rain on the AK parade but, I have some concerns regarding the 5th Light Panzer Division Ausf J late version deployment, additions of the armour plate, what 5cm version gun it has and when they were added how, and why.

I think the time lines factually and historically are out of line a bit well, a good bit. August 15th the 5th light division was redesignated the 21st Panzer Division but, I am unsure the division during this period had these Panzers in this variant. Look forward to chatting with you all about this
