Nice job Mitch
It's a little known reason as to why German camo switched from grey to 3 colour camo. There was no camo reason - the Americans and Brits used plain olive or olive and black and the Russians used plain green. Apparently the Germans were painting everything grey - so much so that they ran out of grey paint and the director of camo, a Herr Wayne had to switch to base yellow for what was to be a temporary colour. But the stocks of grey paint never recovered and grey wasn't used on German or even Allied vehicles for the rest of they war. ^&grin^&grin

Guys...
I was asked if I had any pics of the tiger in development and, when it was just grey. so, here are a couple for the grey fans. Hatches were off at this point and, none of the detail tow ropes jacks etc had been hand painted. As always apologies for the poor photography
Mitch
Should of left it like that Mitch,what a beast hopefully we will have a GREY TIGER in the near future :wink2::wink2: can't say to much...........................{sm5}
Mictch,
I was out of the grid due to the carnival holidays here in Brazil, and just now caught up with the latest going on here, and let me say that by far, your Tiger is THE thread on the forum!!! Simply majestic!!
Congratulations again, on another fantastic repaint!! What talent you`ve got....!! {bravo}}
Hi Guys,
Like all of you I very much enjoy Mitch’s skill at conversions and this latest Tiger “Tiki” is no exception… well done!
However, I firmly disagree with his comment that “I doubt that any manufacturer would ever make this as Wittmann never went near it!!!”
Of course I can’t speak for other tank manufacturers but as far as K&C is concerned we have produced over the years at least 10 different “Tigers” of which I think only 3 were Wittmann related. So, my friends the vault of “Tigers” is far from exhausted and I’m sure there’s room for the occasional surprise from time to time.
Best wishes and happy collecting,
Andy C.
