Who legalized death by boiling as punishment for a crime?
Henry the 8th and I have no idea why, other than he wished to remembered as an ornery SOB
Yo Trooper Rob, what school did you go to mate Quote:
Growing up we had this image of Henry as a jolly fat King with lots of wives, he appears in fact to have been a very nasty bit of work indeed.
I never had that image of Henry, he was a sadistic murderer, who if he couldn't get his own way had the people exterminated. Same with the Catholic Church murdered Bishops and burnt down the monasteries and started his own religion off, just because the Pope wouldn't go along with his ideas of divorce. Not starting any religious thread here guys its just history.
Bernard.
This was a humorous remark and now its turned in to a religous rant,I didn't mean school, I meant the general perception and portrayal of him in the media .
Why don't you give the personal remaks a rest, you keep taking potshots at me my friend, whats up with that?
Rob
Yo Trooper Rob, lol I wasn't taking a potshot mate. I was just saying I always viewed him as a bad dude, so apologies mate if you took it that way, you must loosen up a bit my friend its only banter, us scousers love giving the Southerns & the Jocks a bit of stick now and then to keep them on their toes lol.
Bernard.
reminds me a bit of the old joke, one cannibal says to another "i can't stand your wife", t'other replies "never mind, just eat the vegetables"
Youtube have the boiling execution scene from "The Tudors"
Cheers
Martyn
