The Introduction of a Jamestown, Virginia 1620 sub range to the Conquest of America range was another nice surprise for me.

There's lots of potential for this series. North American themes pre-Seven Year's War are virtually uncovered by toy soldier companies.

Armoured Iroquoian Warrior
Conquest of America

John

Possibly an introduction to the Beaver Pelt Wars 1640-1701. Among the writings of Champlain, there is recorded a skirmish between Champlain and his Huron allies and an Iroquois war party. Champlain describes the Iroquois as forming a battle line, with their best warriors at the front clad in armor. Champlain describes the armor as being composed of wooden rods bound together with cord. Additional written sources include the writings of Gabriel Sagard who was a jesuit missionary among the indigenous people of New France.

Mike - John is nailing this period. I'm really forward to seeing where he takes it.

Interesting to see the Conquest of the Americas is moving on, into a range which is not for me. The historical time period and conflict is an interesting one, the sketches look excellent and i think JJ will do an excellent job, plus i think it will be popular witth collectors as the earlier period has not been covered and the French Indian War has only previous done by Britains. I really liked the Aztec range and will continue to collect those, if they are added too in the future, but not really bad news for me, as there are many other JJ ranges i collect,

Rome's Enemies [plus the odd Roman set].
Saxons and Vikings
WW1 - Knights of the sky
WW2 - Germans

I have also 'broken my duck' on the Almoravids and bought a couple of sets. I think i will continue to buy these, they are excellent.

While at the London Show i saw one of the US Navy Corsair fighters and it struck me as being very very good, i went back to it 2 or 3 times, but had spent my budget so did not buy, but i will at the next show, the deck hands etc also look really worth it.

Therefore JJ will still get my money but just for different ranges.

How is John managing to release to so much and seem to introduce new ranges on a quarterly basis.

Yes, nice figure that can fit with many European campaigns from that era.
I wonder what other European figures John will be making for this range????
