The Widow Thompson's Farmhouse-Temporary HQ for Robert E Lee-Gettysburg the morning of the 3rd July 1863.

Lee holds an officer's meeting with Gens. Longstreet, Ewell, Early & Stuart.

This joint meeting however, never took place

But perhaps....it should have

Looks really good. Great setting and the figures are so good that there is no doubt as to who is who. -- Al

Great scene! Fantastic detail! Masterful! Almost like being there...

Britains does such a fantastic job with their ACW range allowing a multitude of possibilities. {sm4}

Thanks guys for your kind comments and like ticks. Wayne thanks mate I'll hang it in my gallery.

Just a quick note for those of you who are not ACW nerds (standfast Mike, Pat & Al ^&grin) The actual WBritain's set of Decisive Day has been sculpted to depict Lee's meeting with Dick Ewell & Jubal Early (also present was Robert Rodes but unfortunately his figure was not included in the set) on the evening of the first day of the battle when Lee rode to Ewell's HQ north of Gettysburg town. Ken Osen has designed the set correctly as an outdoor (external) piece for that particular meeting took place under an arbor in the garden of a Gettysburg house.

On the disastrous 3rd day of the battle Lee held three separate individual meetings with Longstreet, Ewell and Stuart to relay his plan of attack. It would be somewhat of an understatement to say that a co-ordinated Confederate attack was sorely lacking that day. Subsequently, my depiction is more a "what if" scenario had Lee held a counsel with all the participants present rather than a series of separate meetings.

But on reflection probably the result would have been exactly the same :confused:

Thanks again guys

Bob
