Somewhere in North Africa 1942 a LRDG reconnaissance unit in conjunction with a pair of armoured cars arrive at a village only to find it deserted.

Always well thought out scenes working with the best materials going. A real pleasure to view. Robin.

You did it again, Tom. It seems that every time I start appreciating my N. Africa dio, you pump out one of these that just blows it away!

Seriously, I just love the buildings and terrain in your scene. Are the buildings custom made? I missed out on the old K&C LRDG Truck but I've got the latest on pre-order. Can't wait to add it to my collection.

I picked up the last LRDG jeep several months ago and what I particularly liked is that K&C stayed true to the size and similarity of the older jeep. I see you have both of them driving through your village.

One of these days, I'm going to make that Rat Patrol diorama. Watch out when I do, they'll be coming for you! {sm4}

Beautiful diorama as always Tom. I have the two older trucks and the jeep. My only regret is not getting the Crusader tank.

Incredible shots and setup, Tom. :salute::

I always hunt out all the little touches and hidden gems that you hide around inside the diorama. Small pots, animals, signs, pictures, and much more.
They may be tiny but the add a huge impact to the overall feeling of the scene. For example in this one the way the pots and the well barrel are knocked over gives the feeling that
the former inhabitants fled rather in haste! {sm2}

Great seeing the desert dio on display again Tom with all the trimmings. Love the rough road and rocks with such an awesome array of vehicles and crew. :salute::

Great pics! Congratulations.
Luiz

Thanks Luiz

Thanks Rob, I'm looking forward to seeing your Rat Patrol mate and yeah, the village buildings are a Jakob special. He didn't make them specially for me, I purchased them off his site but I believe they are a "one off". The dio with the rock formations, palm trees, 2 olive trees, well etc was made by me.

Beautiful diorama as always Tom. I have the two older trucks and the jeep. My only regret is not getting the Crusader tank.

Thanks mate and the Crusader tank is an excellent model so I hope you manage to get one some day.

Thanks Larry, I tried to get a sense of abandonment as it might have been during the desert conflict.

Thanks Toddy, I thought it was about time to whip out the desert dio again.

Thanks to everyone else that provided a like.

Tom's sending the town to me when he gets tired of it, so my LH do not have to make the long trek North ^&grin. Robin.
