I heard something that the FBI released some files.Anybody know anything about that?

If there were any hint of truth to this claim, don't you think it would have come from some serious historians and not from a TV show?
Hitler and Bigfoot are having a beer in Atlantis....news at 10!
Unfortunately, THC long ago abandoned the standards it had from its inception, with more and more sensationalism and "history-tainment" in the programming, and less and less quality programming. And for a while, the good content was aired via THC's subsidiary, The Military Channel, but even that, in its current incarnation as the American Heroes Channel, has been sliding into mediocre content.
Interesting--it just occurred to me that the History Channel's initials also stand for the active psychoactive component in marijuana.
Prost!

So did anyone watch it?
But I guess the real question is does anyone really believe that a guy like Hitler would have dropped out of sight forever? I personally think not because he was a total megalomaniac and would never have been able to resist thumbing his nose at the Allies and Stalin.

"I don't think so, Tim"
Wondering when someone will provide solid proof that he stayed and died in the Bunker in Berlin
The accounts given by eyewitnesses is sufficient for me. Read Shirer, he relates the details pretty well.
Wonderful book - I bought my copy while on my first trip to Europe as a 20 year old. It is still on my shelf. It is interesting that a number of excellent works of history have been written by journalists rather than 'professional' historians. The most famous work of Australian history - the 12 volume official history of Australia in WW1 - was edited by Charles Bean, a war correspondent and journalist. He wrote six volumes himself with another three written by journalists. Must be something to do with their ability to tell a story well.
The Shirer book is based upon the "Official Story". Hitler's staff that were part of the Berlin Bunker told the story of Him shooting himself and being dumped outside the Fuhrer Bunker to be burned.
Two bodies wrapped in blankets were carried out of Hitler's Bunker, but no one can say who was under those blankets ! A smooth cover story. Board aircraft at Tempelhof airport and off to Spain.

Final destination.......Argentina was the best place that he could have chosen, having German supporters and ties to that country going back the the early 30's.
The Soviets never recovered a burned corps, but a skull fragment that turned out to be from a Female. Stalin himself maintained the opinion that Hitler was not found in Berlin in 1945'.

'Official story' is not always synonymous with 'cover up'. Sometimes (and I would suggest most of the time) the obvious/official/accepted story is the correct one albeit sometimes it might be incomplete. Just because no one can say what was under the blankets is not of itself proof. I cannot prove that they weren't aliens but that does not mean they were. Secrets are no longer secrets when more than one person knows them. It could not be kept a secret. Like the 'faked' landing on the moon, the twin towers being an Israeli/American plot, the 'holocaust as a Jewish conspiracy, LBJ killing Kennedy, K&C controlling ebay, the supporters of the great myths of our time find three supporting pieces of 'evidence' which then are used to negate the millions of other pieces that do not fit the theory. You have responded to me with seven sentences. Half of what you stated are facts we agree on. The other half are opinions, suppositions, and possibilities. You are basing your argument on the opinions in order to discredit the facts.

P.S Came back to make it sound friendlier but have just been called away. If it sounds rude or too school teacherish, rest assured that a coward like me would not pick a fight with a Texan!
Jack, This thread is geared to fish out general opinions rather than debate. I saw all of the videos and evidence books relating to Argentina. We all have a right to gather our own opinions.
Looking forward to see what the History channel comes up with as "Their" conclusion and any hard evidence. Happy Holidays !
