Did Hitler Escape From Berlin In May 1945 ? (1 Viewer)

More like 500 years.
You're correct. Sorry.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too, and it is possible that the liberated Roman sword was not used as a weapon per se, but maybe was more of a symbol of the travels or maybe a good luck charm/talisman. Maybe a Viking chief carried it as a symbol. Who knows? -- Al
I certainly don't know. I could offer an opinion, but I'd get a lecture from Mother.

Yeah, like in those cowboy movies where the Indian chief is wearing a breastplate from the conquistadors.

Well a lot of today's historians disagree with a lot of yesteryear's historians so who's "facts" are right?Just because a majority of people might believe in something doesn't mean it's right. My opinion is as valid as yours.

Facts are not in controversy, interpretations are. The way historians interpret facts change. Opinions not based on facts are flights of fancy.

Facts are interpretations but that doesn't mean the mainstream are always right.Just like they had the brontosaurus;s head on the wrong end for 150 years, most accepted this including myself but we were wrong weren't we.I don't believe what the American and Russian governments say as gospel.I don't know if Hitler died in that bunker or not and neither does anyone else here.
Mark

The "fact" that something can not be proved does not make the opposite true, i.e., that it cannot be conclusively proved that Hitler died in the bunker does not prove that he lived.

Oh, wait, wasn't he the third gunman in Dallas? Can you prove that he wasn't? :rolleyes2:

About as much as you can prove it was.Oh I forgot if Brad believes it it must be true.^&grin:wink2:
Mark

Well, now you've finally seen the light :wink2:

Maybe some day someone will tell us the secrets of the universe.Maybe Ancient Aliens!^&grin^&grin^&grin Oh wait these would be modern aliens,^&grin{eek3}

Cheers Wayne, the problem with these sort of shows is that they always leave more questions than answers and it isn't helped by the poor investigation technique's being used by so called proffesionals. It's painful viewing, hence why I bailed from the series after enduring two episodes.

There's no doubt a few well known Nazi's and their sympathisers made it to South America and lived happily ever-after, however I'm far from convinced Hitler made it any further than his bunkers back door.

This is still a great thread though and interesting to read all the posts!

Their last episode that aired showed a 92 year old woman in Argentina who swore that she brought breakfast to Hitler on numerious occasions ..............In Argentina.

I personaly believe he died in Berlin, but I agree that without strong and irrefutable evidence it happened that way, the point he escaped to Argentina cannot be scorned at. Knowing Argentina as I do, if he ever got there, I'm pretty sure he would have lived there in peace till the early 60's. I just don't think he made it out, and a cover-up was set in motion.,,,,

Yeah I saw that, plus watched another programme on the History Channel earlier this year which also involved an old house maid describing how she used to look after Hitler, Eva and a bunch of other Nazi's in Argentina until his death.

Sorry mate, but I saw nothing that convinced me he made it out of Germany, let alone Berlin.

Folks believe what they want to believe. I see it almost everyday in my job where people quickly jump to conclusions based upon very little information and heresay. The investigators clearly believed Hitler made in to South America based upon some old files and took the viewer on a journey to prove it or at least tried too. They certainly didn't remain neutral during their enthusiastic pursuit to find the truth, as any good investigator would, which compromised their efforts from the start.

As for my personal view, we may never know for sure how Hitlers life ended be it at his own hand or others. But I believe the bunker scenario to be the most likely and both facts and circumstances evidence support this theory above all else at this time.

Cheers Toddy

I think that he probably didn't make it out either for I believe Mossad would have went to the ends of earth to get him but I do find shows of this sort interesting. If nothing else it does show that quite a few nazis did escape to South America and one just never really knows. It doesn't help either that the Soviet and American governments are very secretive about everything.

The famous couch photo shows blood stains. this DNA was tested by a U.S. Doctor several years ago after he traveled to Russia to obtain a sample and ZERO conclusive DNA
evidence linked it to Hitler. The Dental bridge was removable.....correct ? and a person can have more than one dental bridge made.
The alleged evidence of a human skull fragment with a bullet hole in it that the Soviets held in safe keeping for decades turned out to be from a female, and NOT EVA.
If someone of extremely high visibility wanted to escape and stage their death, of course a cover story would need to be put into place ! Just my opinion but I have seen
and viewed all of the available photos, evidence, etc.......and the blood on the couch and skull fragment are not a positive match......sorry to say !
The 92 year old woman stating for the record that as a young woman she served the infamous guest breakfast on numerous occasions in Argentina after the war
deserves a closer look. Lastly, all of the released de-classified FBI files discussing Hitler in Argentina are myths ? Why would the FBI continue to file internal reports
of him being in Argentina if he conclusively died in Berlin 30 April 1945 ?
