Diorama Scenery Bases (2 Viewers)

Finished off those mini wall sections. I heavily drybrushed a light to medium grey over the walls first:

Then a couple of further light drybrushes with yellow ochre and plain white:

The yellow touches add a bit of colour to it, and look better than just shades of grey. And finally, plonked in to a foam field.

Hope that's of help to some.

The only other thing I'd think about, is giving a light coat of PVA adhesive at the bottom of the walls and then sprinkling some hairy grass on it, to help blend it in a bit with the surrounding base.

Not the most spectacular piece, but certainly very easy and cheap to do.

Don't sell yourself short Simon, those walls look bloody fantastic and way cheaper than buying them. I may just have to give this a try.

Thanks !!

Wow thanks Simon, it looks easy enough for most guys to have a go at. I still haven't been able to find any of that dense foam downunder, no doubt due to the fact that snow is thin on the ground here ;)

Nice work Simon. Thought I would haunt you with a "retro" Picture. John

Very nicely done John and looking forward to seeing what's been done once you get the saw to work next year if not sooner...The Lt.
