P40 looks terrific, hopefully we will see RAF figures to go with.

Also I see this baby is retiring, (glad I got one) and with another Normandy summer not too far off I wonder what may replace it?:wink2:

Wayne..

Over 6 years since K&C did the 88mm gun (excluding the Flak 41 version) so, hopefully, they will be like buseswait ages for one and, then a DAK and Grey come along!!!
Mitch

My thoughts exactly NO one has done a DAK 88 yet (1/30)^&grin

Pity that Wellington is loosing his Artillery.... now there is no firepower to oppose Napoleon on the battlefield.:mad::mad:

I love the look of the Kittyhawk, that one mean looking plane.....

My other preference is the AWI marching Royal Welch Fusiliers and I would like to see them all lined up "In Column of Route"

John,

I thought I may be able to resist the P40 to start with, I've totally crumbled now:wink2:

I don't think the discon was to bad this month

Morning All,

Does anyone else think the paint jobs on the new Russian figures looks like a change in the usual 'house style' of K&C? Maybe this is just down to the photography. Looking forward to seeing them in the flesh...or should that be in the white metal.

Jack

No retirements for me this month. Am really tempted by the WW1 set thats going but have to stay focussed.

Rob

Jack...

In what way? for better or worse in your opinion. I think for me, they are the same style as usual paintwork

Great releases those Royal Welch Fusiliers {bravo}}. Need to get those RHA sets before they disappear! {sm3}{sm2}{sm4}.

Lots of great looking sets this month. Finally got a new T34/76. My favorite of the lot just might be the wounded RAF pilot being helped away. Great 2 man set. The P-40 looks very nice as well, but I already have a 112 squadron P-40 in 1/32 scale so I'm not sure I'll get this. The prone Russian soldier firing is my fav of those, can be used riding a tank or on the ground.

They most certainly are and you have one V E R Y happy AWI collector here! thanks K&C worth the looooooooong wait!! {sm4}:salute::

There are some happy Eastfront collectors this AM. The T-34's are excellent. My favorite is the British P-40B. It is a beauty. I would like to formally request to Andy that he do an AVG Flying Tiger version. The aircraft type would be the same. Just a slight color and marking change would be in order. I am really tempted by the British P-40B to pair up with my Marseille 109. That will make an outstanding display, but I would love to see the AVG version, as well. -- Al

Love the Fusiliers, especially the fact that there are slightly different poses for each marching soldier. This is one happy AWI collector {sm4}

I agree, lots of excellent releases this month, as usual plenty of variety too.

Blimey now you've said it Al! How cool would the P40 and the Marseille 109 look together, you could have a desert base board with one aircraft and figures on opposite sides. I wish you wouldn't put ideas like this in my head Al !^&grin

I would have preferred a winter version of the T-34 since I have the earlier one with bedsprings, but these look great and will be especially good for anyone wanting extras. I like that they can be displayed with closed hatch. I too would have liked to see a Flying Tiger P-40, but the version released is beautiful and will be hard to resist. It would be my first desert camo plane.

I'm glad that russians are here. But did anybody notice that some of the sculpts are rough looking? The russian's weapons look odd and Winston Churchill's hands and where he is attached to his base look really bad. Hopefully these can be fixed.
