Dispatches are up! (1 Viewer)

Great dispatches this month!!! {bravo}}

We finally get some Russian armor!

I will be getting all the Russian items and the P-40 warbird!

Don't know about churchill but, the russians made their kit rude and crude. Maybe K&C is going for the very authentic look!!!
Mitch

I'm glad that russians are here. But did anybody notice that some of the sculpts are rough looking? The russian's weapons look odd and Winston Churchill's hands and where he is attached to his base look really bad. Hopefully these can be fixed.

Thanks Rob,some really nice pieces coming up.Better start saving some money for Lah,Russians and Romans.Thanks again Mike B.

Pity that Wellington is loosing his Artillery.... now there is no firepower to oppose Napoleon on the battlefield.:mad::mad::mad:

John,

It struck me as a pretty quick retirement on these, but it just might be the opening in due time for something I've been suggesting to Andy - BRITISH FOOT ARTILLERY :smile2:^&grin

For my "Other Range" collection, I like the Russian soldier moving forward, and this Churchill's a real striking figure.;)

Cheers

Joe

Wow!!! I was among those that thought the Russians would debut only at the westcoaster... Simply fabulous! The new LAH figures were aslo a big surprise to me. Really liked this months dispatches; my walet dosen`t fell the same way though....{sm4}
With 5 T34-76`s on the way, who knows a KV isn`t in the cooking? Plus the winter Russians, that are certainly to follow sometime this year. The ost-front will certainly be busy this year, and I couldn`t be happier!
I also liked the injured RAF pilot and doctor, very nice pair of figures. The P-40 is also a beauty... Yep, all I can say is that orders are on their way!

Wow many of my dispatch predictions came true! My favourite is definitely the P-40 and the wounded RAF pilot....must haves for me. The new Winston Churchill looks exceptional, very realistic. Looks like he walked right out of the Dickens series! I really like the colouration on the horses of the LOJ Romans. I'm ashamed to admit it but even that SS trooper with the German Sheperd looks really sharp. :redface2: The Soviet armour is nice but I've got a T-34/85 so I'll wait to see the upcoming winter camo version. The Soviet figures are disappointing, they don't look right to me (ex. fingers, size of limbs/proportions etc.) As for retirements I'm not hurt too bad, I''ve got a Figarti Firefly that I'm happy with so I'll pass on the K&C version. All in all another very nice dispatch that satifies our long suffering Eastern Front and American Revolution collectors, congrats to you all you must be pleased. :cool:

Hey CFM, seems to be a very positive buzz about this months dispatches, so many good releases and such variety. Have to agree that the RAF wounded pilot, Churchill, P40 and T34's all look spot on for me. Love to be able to afford all three T34's as they will look stunning in a dio up against the Kursk Tiger^&cool .Something about K&C's own particular style and painting of their AFV's that put it above all others for me. Its the same with the Firefly, Figarti's version is a very nice tank indeed, but since K&C's was released its become my favourite, the finishing,colouring and crew are all just spot on. Its these elements and the quality of the releases that make me want a new T34 even though I probably can't afford to get into the Russian figures. Really glad the AWI fans got their new release too{bravo}}

Rob

Great dispatch, the AWI are gorgeous, really beautiful figures, I have decided I will not be getting the Soviets. I am going to have to get that 1917 German machine gun set though before it disapears.

They most certainly are and you have one V E R Y happy AWI collector here! thanks K&C worth the looooooooong wait!! {sm4}:salute::

Love the Fusiliers, especially the fact that there are slightly different poses for each marching soldier. This is one happy AWI collector {sm4}

Mike

Evening folks!
Yea' another <somewhat happy> AWI guy here. BR082 thru BR089 is a welcome to us STARVED AWI collectors. Gee, 18 months is a loooooong time as Cornwallis says! I love the fact that they are not another fighting pose. Andy took a hint from First Legion and made "slightly different" poses. Makes for a more believable looking display. Still it is the third release of Fusiliers and there are many dozens of other Regiments and Nationalities to choose from as well as Militia and Civilians. Let’s hope that this is the start of a long release schedule of AWI sets.
Larry

The upcoming releases that have my attention from the latest dispatches : Russians, LAH, SA figures, New LAH Dio set,
New Churchill, RAF pilot/Medic set.......WOW. ^&grin

Yep packed to the rafters with really good stuff, any of you LOJ colletors getting the mounted Romans?

The latest dispatches will be very bad for my bank account. The LAH is great - even so I never wanted to start with the SA/brown shirts. But even my wife likes them now. I think I must have to get them now ...

And for my AE I think these mounted Romans will look great.

But NO new HESSIANS !!! {sm2}

2 of each, these poses do not allow for a line of them unfortunately, but still very welcome. I like this era of the Romans, not so war like, more like ancient style policemen. Cheers, Robin.

Is it me or did it appear as if the prices either stablized/ started to take a downturn ever so slightly?? If so, seems to be a nice relief from what most folks have taken issue with over the past 18 months................

Chris,
Andy did make a reference to this in Collector 32 Page 1 when he said he hoped to stabilize prices and in some cases try to reduce some and I think he mentioned it in passing in a post a couple of months ago.

Hi Chris and Brett,

I also noticed this in the last couple of dispatches. Andy has stabilized at $39/40; but particular to modern forces, and earlier period ranges with simpler patterned uniforms. And I would surmise that it's because the painting on those uniforms are more simple, easier and quicker.

With Oil surging again, however, I hope it doesn't upset that trend by forcing up pricing on paints/other oil products/and base metals tied to this hobby.

We shall see, cross your fingers.

In the meantime, thanks Andy for the relief to the collectors.{sm4}
