Don't worry Matt, i'll contain myself when opening the box! :wink2:{sm4}

Sorry Toddy, forgot about you blokes but try and get the girls mate, they'll be priceless in a few years time! :wink2:

Tom

......only if they come in life-size poses.....they'd make wonderful 'his & her' lamp-shades....{eek3}^&grin:tongue:

Funny but when I look on line I see more photos showing it with it gear down !
Yes you do but again the vast majority of those photos are taken several decades after the end of the war. That does make a difference. If you are depicting a war era aircraft, up is more likely unless they have been lowered for maintenance. If you want to justify not gettting one because it does not fit with the majority of modern warbird shots you see on the web, you certainly should suit youself but either way is correct and for the war period, up is the better choice.

Perfect answer - better than I explained it. I hope this clears things up.

Would snap up Preddy's 'Cripes a' Mighty' of the 352nd FG in a flash. I just like those Blue-Nosed B******* of Bodney.:wink2: -- Al

I've got that one from Hobby Master in 1:48 scale diecast with moving parts. It is a spectacular model. If K&C produce Cripes, I couldn't blame you for jumping at it.

All the WW2 photos show it with it down as well , so every model kit and die cast model made is wrong as well then :rolleyes:

Yes - the wheel cover on the Hobby Master can be down or up - it is an option.

Frankly I am not sure you read anything I posted on this. So just to be specific, they could be left up or placed down. Thus, IT IS NOT WRONG TO SHOW THEM DOWN OR TO SHOW THEM UP. No, all WWII photos do not show them down.

The wing intakes give it away, it's a Hawker Sea Fury, would make a nice model in 1/30 scale.

Neil, what was I thinking, it's a Firefly, the only defence I can provide for that glaring ID error is that I'll offically be a Senior Citizen next year {eek3} ^&grin
