Mike, this really appeals and shows again that just a few figures can make a super setup!
(however, I can't wait until you've added in the rest of the dragons and low landers!)
Super composition!
Thanks!

Now you know I can't resist asking about the bushes and grass Matt.........
Please point me at them!

You know I've now got ground cover, haven't got around to my woodpile yet..... But some bushes are a must!
Thanks
James

James...thanks...I have seen your ground cover...and it looks great...

the mat is a Hudson Allen mat made by Ericka and Ken Osen...he did it in brown for me and it's the most realistic grass mat in the maket...that's my opinion...I like his mats so much that this is the second one I have bought...

look at this thread...you will find all the foliage (bushes/shrubs) in it...

here is an old picture I took using his green mat...it works really well with the JJD Culloden series...

Mike, every element of this scene works so well together, back drop, rocks, base and impressive fig collection. Chris

Another nicely done photo Michael. Another great example of where less is really more and proof that you don't really need a massive display to tell a very good story. And as you already know, I totally concur with your assessment of the H&A diorama grass bases and other H&A scenic products . . . . best in the hobby . . . . .
:smile2: Mike

Mike, That Dragoon figure makes for a nice addition to your collection. Will there be a Squadron in the making? This must rank as JJD's most colourful range so far.^&cool

Thanks Chris...Mike and Jeff...

Jeff...

I think...^&confuse^&confuse^&confuse...John said he is starting with 6 Dragoons charging...1 trumpeter and 1 flag bearer...plus a Cumberland figure...if my memory seves me right...

it should be a great grouping...there is nothing worse then just a couple of steeds charging...so I'm delighted he is taking this to a nice grouping...

Jeff...this might help...5 Dragoons and Cumberland...I think he said a trumpeter and bearer were coming...should make a very nice group...

Nice to see you taking a break from your diorama building to play what a great little vignette Michael an as always nice to see you at play my friend.

thank you Joseph...do you recognize the photo of the Dragoons...you took it with me at Hackensack...I stole it to show Jeff...

Remember it well Michael an the time we spent at the show together.

Thanks, Mike, for bringing that picture back up.
A group of those charging Dragoons with Cumberland in the background will make for a beautiful display.

Konrad...I agree...as a group...they should be very impressive...I'm glad John is taking the time to develop the Dragoons in sufficient numbers...8-9 figures will look great massed together...

on that note...I hope he takes the time to develop the 1814 British artillery crew a little more to man their guns...the 5 figures he has produced are not enough for the 3 guns...

John's Cumberland figure is an excellent likeness.

I'm looking forward to the release of the dragoon figures, as well as the Seven Years War Prussians. The dragoons can stand in for the dragoon regiments sent to the Continent during the SYW, too. Now I just have to find some French cavalry to put up against them.

Prost!
Brad

I'll go along with Konrad on this Mike, these are some really great looking figures. ^&cool

Jeff

I recently got my second Dragoon...it's my understanding that John is making a group of 9 mounted figures for this series...which should look spectacular...I know the thread is titled "Dragoons and Lowlanders"...but I added some Highlanders to these pictures to mix it up a little bit...

Cheers

Martyn:)

While I am waiting for my own 2nd Dragoon to arrive, it is a great pleasure to look at your setup - those dragoons look fantastic, and even more so in a group :D

B.t.w. has anyone any intel on when we can expect the release of the first of the "attackees" -the Royal Ecossais?

Niels
