BTW, a treefrogger who I shared this with suggested that the image made for a nice wallpaper on his laptop. It's not copyrighted, so please feel welcome to "spin, fold and mutilate" it to your hearts content.

A great aircraft and a great car. I am actually waiting for my MG to come back after a paint job by a mate's brother. It has been years!

My 1/24 MG is from FM, but they come in other useful scales from other makers. IIRC, the scales are a 1/32 kit (Revell/Monogram) and nice 1/43 from an outfit called Vitesse. Here's a pic of the real deal, circa 1937:

My gosh what a wonderful roadster. Perfect vehicle to transition to Spits from!:salute::

Edit.

Hi Martin,

Came up with another couple of pics from my stash that still "get the juices" flowing:

These were such great cars, particularly on a short, winding closed-course. I've driven them in rallies, and they are an absolute scream to compete with.

When mine comes home I will post some pics. It is a far more humble MGB MK II but I courted my wife while driving it!

Nice and it's all there , a plane, mechanics, pilots waiting to scramble, a car from the 1930's, the pilot's shack an a very suited background
Well done
guy:smile2:

Superb picture Jack {bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

Cheers

Martyn:)

You and me both Jack, I have been waiting for years to see your MG!

Beautiful pic Moe. You know I have a soft spot for RAF dios. :smile2: Chris

First, thanks to everyone for the LIKES. Always great to cross paths with collectors who share your interests in models and toys soldiers. To tell you the truth, however, I didn't expect that there would be as much enthusiasm for the FM MG as has been expressed. In honor of the vehicle and everyone who's fond of its role in our lives and automotive history, here are some more pics:

Nice diorama. The RAF series is one of my favourites. Well done. I'm looking forward to future releases. ^&cool

Agree with the other comments - really nice dio. I love the amount of green in your shots making them really vivid. Some excellent pieces in your collection. Well done!

Thank you both, gentlemen. The RAF series is getting pretty deep now. Would have to check, but it must be approaching seventy sets. Andy mentioned recently that he's got another sports-car in the works, BTW. Can't wait to have a look at that one.^&grin

Speaking of cars, my infatuation with the MG began with BoB:

Of course, having Susannah York on display didn't do anything to discourage me, either.

From that viewing as an adolescent, I developed a sort of logic as regards sporty-things and women:

-Boy grabs car
-Car grabs girl
-Girl grabs boy

Works with airplanes and horses, too, but those are a LOT more expensive to own and operate.:wink2:

Finally, thanks to EVERYONE who posted to this thread. Not one of you noted that I had misspelled a word in the title, or asked what, precisely, the meaning of ESPOSURE might be!:redface2:

Thanks again,:salute::

No-one wanted to discourage you Moe, from showing your great photos, by pointing out your spelling mistake.^&grin, Robin.

Hi Robin,

I hate to admit it, but I've misspelled words in thread titles more than once. And the UI won't let us edit them out!:eek: I really wish that the forum poo-pahs would liberalize the editing rules a bit. Still, I guess it's the same old deal. A few bad apples play head-games with their messages and make matters difficult for everyone else.:(

While we are on the subject Moe, you have your call sign wrong also, think you meant to say IVANHOE, you really must check these things^&grin^&grin, Robin,
