Falklands, EU slap to the United Kingdom (1 Viewer)

My thoughts exactly. People think Uncle Joe is bad, but what a disaster Harris would be. We have to find better alternatives than we are being offered, on both sides. -- Al

The Wall Street Journal asked, on its opinion page, for people to stop asking them to call for an impeachment of J Biden. They said K Harris would then be president and patently unfit for the job. Kind of funny but sad at the same time.

I sense an agenda behind the ageism here. Did you want Reagan impeached when he lost it?
Anger at Biden merely to elect some would-be autocrat who intends to subvert Democracy itself is as short-sighted as Brexit was, but Populism is like that. Win now, throw a hippie party, and let the future deal with itself because at least we got what we wanted, say the Populists.
Wow, Poppo really p-ed off the Pope with this one. Disunity and a shrinking economic and military are my issues. Totalitarianism is right out chaps. We all blame one side more than ours. But I also believe that this is the strength of "The West". We are of many minds, so we are slow. But we are right. They are of one mind, and it's usually paranoid and violent and greedy. Such is Human Nature,
Best Wishes,
Paddy

Poppo, I think likes opening cans of worms and sitting back every now and then, think the last time was a year or two back with his eulogising of an IRA terrorist.

Ha! Yeah he has a bit of an anti-Anglo in him and therefore he's a huge hit of this Forum:rolleyes2:.
I respect the Euro view but I agree that this thread was baiting his political foes.
So are we talking about the Falklands or the EU or Brexit or US politics?! I'm confused.
Anyway, best wishes wherever you're from. As long as we're on the same side, I will live with any opinions.

As Irish Grandpa who fought with the UK in the Atlantic in WW2 said, some people (IRA included) "only live for the grudge".
Obviously he disagreed. Never look back my friends. Next thing I will want reparations from Mongolia...

'What they forgot is that people don't always say what they really think in public, when to express an opinion different to what the media says you should think, is on a social par of loudly breaking wind at a Wedding !'

Nice metaphor Steve, made me laugh, but so true.

Offering an opinion or heaven forbid, expressing an alternative view in public that goes against 'our one source of truth' main steam media is tantamount to being labeled a 'conspiracy theorist' or a spreader of 'disinformation' and we can't have that......tat tat......how western society has changed for the worse.
