Female problems.... (1 Viewer)

Fantastic conversion Bob. I thought you said she was some Russian figure you picked up somewhere. She does seem still available from Conte, would her size fit in with a certain Napoleonic set of figures I fancy? I can imagine including here in some great Sharpe vignettes with a few changes here and there?

Bill
No slightly cross-wired there what I said to you was the old lady and kids figure before conversion were posed as Russian type peasants wearing hob-nail boots etc but they have been converted to try and fit the Alamo scene. The glamour puss in the chemise is all Conte;)

Bob

Blimey Scott things must be looking up-me receiving praise from Caesar indeed! Whatever next:D

Bill-thanks for the appreciative comment but she will be a little small against your Frenchie/Brit guys and Harry-Mark is correct in her original pose she's not a glossy but more a Matte finish.

Thanks guys

Bob

Yeah, I know the Conte figure is in a matte finish Bob. I was referring to the Britains Petticoat range when I mentioned glossy.

Cheers - and a very well converted figure, if I may say so. I honestly couldn't place where you got the basic figure from because you completely changed her in order to get the scene you wanted.
Well Done.

Harry

Great conversion Bob.

Some of those female guerrillas brought to mind Delacroix's great painting, Liberty Leading the People.

I am also reminded of La Pasionaria, Dolores Ibárruri Gómez, the Spanish Civil War fighter and supporter of the Republican government, who uttered one of the more memorable phrases ever, ''It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees! They shall not pass!''

Ah well that is a pity. Any chance for a soles to eyes measurement in mm?;):D

I think we French history fans need a figure set from Delacroix's famous work.

Here you go Bill as requested-she is standing on a 2mm base but the height showing is from the soles of her boots to center of her eyes coming out at about 52mm. Like I said height wise she is a tad smaller than your FL troops but possibly within scale for a female "figure"-gotta be worth a shot.

Originally I bought 3 of this Conte set not for her (as nice as she is) but for Indian figure that accompanied her in the set as it was the only Woodland Indian casualty Conte turned out for the whole Rogers Rangers series-I just repainted two of them with different war paint.

Hope the picture helps.

Simon-actually managed to measure her without too much shaking & stammering :D

Great Bob, that is perfect. So would you like another Indian?;):D

Well if the measuring gave him a shock, what about all that holding and squeezing involved in completing your assignment?:cool:

Changing the right arm to holding the skirt works. If you have others, the figure could be Emily West Morgan "The Yellow Rose of Texas" at San Jacinto, leaving Santa Anna's tent.

My "quicky" Emily Morgan was a Britains farm girl converted to a Victorian *****. It's for my "toy" Mexican army and details of San Jacinto.

Not authentic as underdrawers weren't worn universally in the 1830s.
