Dear All as a taste of what will be available tomorrow please see attached a picture of our new Officer figure with wounded legionnaire.

Hope you enjoy!

Very tempting Wayne, this series is turning out to be a winner for TG,^&cool, Robin.

They sure do mate they will look great when all together.
Wonder when we find out who shot him.

Anyone remember March or Die? A very good F/L movie featuring Terrance Hill and Gene Hackman. Michael

On Ken Jackson's table at the London Show today

Cheers

Martyn

Pick of the bunch is the officer with eye patch. Useful for turning a blind eye when his men are up to no good.

Were these the only novelties from TG ?

Agreed - a grand bunch - and also demonstrates very nicely, how a figure can be easily adapted - to make up another, by a simple head change. Compare the other standing officer figure wearing the kepi - without eye-patch - and you can see that it is the same basic figure.

I like these, very much. Now - if they only did unpainted castings kits of these figures - you might soon see other variations appearing - maybe even in a glossy finish? Thanks for the extra pictures Martyn - much appreciated. Johnnybach

Yes ... sometimes matte paint can leave you feeling a bit flat.

Sorry - its Sunday and I have been at my desk working all day!

Impressive poses and weapons, once again TGM have produced excellent models at realistic prices.

I also like that one has a sun helmet which the FFL also wore.A nice touch.

The Legion will be returning this year guys, pictures to follow soon as well as new sculpts. If there had been a London show in March this year they would have been on display there, alas that one is not happening, however watch out for the e-newsletter coming to your inbox soon!

Jason...

like George said...
this is not a new series...
still...you can still find some on Ebay...

I collected and still have this series...
I was very enthusiastic about collecting them years ago...
one of my favorite collections...
these are great figures...
all of them...very well done...

my biggest problem with the series was that the TG Arabs...
were not produced in enough numbers to equal the Legionnaires...
probably a 5 to 1 ratio at least...of Legionnaires to Arabs...

as mentioned in this thread about TG revisiting this series...
Blake sent me an email telling me that...
more Arabs are on the way...
so...I'm really hoping this time...
they will have more Arabs as combatants...

the Arabs in the blue robes...on the right are TG...
the Arabs on the right are K&C...from their Lawrence of Arabia series...
I bought the K&C figures to supplement the Arab contingency...

you can see the discrepancy in the small numbers of Arabs TG made...
to fight the large number of Legionnaires I bought from them...

again...
hopefully this revisit to the FFL will have many more Arabs...

Whenever I see arabs in dark blue, I think of Beau Geste, the 1966 Guy Stockwell/Telly Savalas version, an all timer for me....................it's finally up on YouTube too..................
